dyladan / component-owners Goto Github PK

Could you please create a release of this package?
It will be better to pin to exact version dyladan/[email protected] instead of to the main dyladan/component-owners@main.

This action has worked great so far for us in OpenTelemetry Python. However I recently discovered that if I amend my commit, I get the following error:

Run dyladan/component-owners@main
  with:
    assign-owners: true
    request-owner-reviews: true
    repo-token: ***
    config-file: .github/component_owners.yml
Error: The head commit for this pull_request_target event is not ahead of the base commit. Please submit an issue on this action's GitHub repo.

This came up in the workflow for my PR from my forked repo on the Synchronize event.

Is this something that the action can handle? Or is the best solution to avoid amending a PR commit? Perhaps users should be configure it to not run on the synchronize activity of the pull_request_target GitHub event?

It would be nice if it behaved similar to CODEOWNERS where reviewers are not assigned until PR is marked ready for review.
