The licensing issue is fixed in #5046
Back to AngularJS joy now.

Hello
Mostly for people following development, there are mostly 4 PR remaining to merge for a new Canary release in October
PR5043 : No review expected but it has been tested by 2 users on the forum and I consider that to be enough for it being better than the existing release. Should be merged soon.
PR5037: I'll take the existing review for sufficient. Should be merged soon.
PR5004: no review expected either, but it's a rather small change to fix one of the most heinous Duplicati defects.
PR4962: nice UI fix that I am hoping to review real soon now. Already tested and works but not (really) reviewed.
Many other things would have been nice to get in the new release but at some point it's necessary to cut.
About the Docker stuff, I'm not following it closely but AFAIK the duplicati official image is updated with the official release and it seems to work, that is, it is 5 months old.
The linuxserver version is not managed by the project but it seems to have been updated quite recently (I guess it's for other things than Duplicati, libraries probably). I don't think that the linuxserver version ships experimental features, it's not a thing usually done for such software distributions.

#4962
Any time plans for bringing Duplicati out of beta?
What are the big pain points that hinder a stable release?
I tried it and it worked quite well :)
Thanks for the great product and have a nice weekend!

The first pain point is the PR#4962 which I have to understand enough to be able to fix any regression by myself .
I know that the submitter would probably follow up if there was one, but it's open source: I can't assume it will be fixed in some given time, so before adding it to a release, I am to be reasonably sure that I can do any necessary correction myself. And while the change appears simple, it is not trivial and one needs some understanding of the framework, something I don't have - I am currently enjoying every minute I spend learning an obsolete framework.
The second pain point I discovered just now is a license question, I will ask the project original developer about it. I don't know if I will get a quick answer.
Edit: I got a reply and it's necessary to do something about it. Either something very ugly and hackish, or put some work into it.

Thank you very much for your efforts. I am very happy to know that the release will be updated soon.
I am using linuxserver version, and their update rule is the release version of the project. Although the linuxserver version updated frequently, the duplicati is still the version 5 months ago.
But I will wait for release update, thanks again
