Make the app pretty. Some nicer wpf themes and controls are:

Recording should allow you to enter the filename and categories for the new file then record any sysex incoming on midi ports.

• While waiting for a sysex message, display a progress dialog with a cancel button.
• If an error happens, display an error dialog.
• After the sysex message is received, the dialog updates to show a message was received with a checkmark and a done button. The sysex file is saved to the library and disk.

The user will have to manually trigger a sysex dump on their device.

Allow users to labels their sysex file(s)

• Label a sysex file
• Filter by labels

Thank you for sharing your project. I tried to compile with Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 and I've got an error CS1660 in MainWindow.xaml.cs line 132 :
