In the serializeAttrValue helper method, it looks like the isObjOrArray test is lumping in string values such as '[FOO] Something Something' or '{FOO} Something Something' when that is neither an array nor an object value. As a result, the value is getting cast to null preventing the string from being rendered out.

This can be viewed in the demo page editing the text attribute of <header-text-hyper> to be "[HYPER] Rendererd with hyper-html" or by putting the [ or { in front of the existing string.

when attribute removed from the custom element which triggers attributeChangedCallback and property value updated to `null' instead of deleting from the instance.

Add a check to prevent re-rendering when attribute removed.
