If option x has a default value of 1, we may call erun and not specify x on the command line. Then when querying, a missing x and x=1 are the same, but there's no way for equery to know that.

To support this properly, erun would have to pass the option in the same form to the main command. Maybe better to just declare this unsupported for now.

When using GNU Parallel to execute trials remotely it's necessary to set up the environment before running the actual trial. This setup command(s) should be passed to erun through a special option.

The following takes several seconds to run:
