I wondered about if it would be practical to have the downloaded file be a zip file, still the same format as what the user selected. Perhaps using the ZipArchive Class.

I think it might be good to have downloading thread be able to be controlled on a per forum basis besides just the general group permission. This way a VIP group might be able to download a thread from one forum, but a regular user could not.

As referenced by Omar, having a way to download all threads in a specific forum in a CSV format would be helpful. We definitely would need to use the ZipArchive class for that. My thoughts are a module in the Forums & Posts part of the ACP with an Admin Permission.

Some templates still have the PHP concation instead of the template way.

As initially discussed in this pull request:
The current method of placing the settings for group permissions within each user group seems counterintuitive, as similar functionality could be centralized in the settings page for the plugin. However, changing this requires providing an option to migrate for existing users of the plugin.

I'll work on a updated pull request that could resolve these issues.

Use language strings on the front end.

Create file downloadthread/db.php. This file handles all database changes. Found at least one IF statement that doesn't have a brace so fix that.

I think the file name could probably be the thread title and then .html or .json depending on format. Would need to strip special characters other than hyphen.

We may need to reference my Recent Threads on Index Plugin for how to do this because I know that plugin I made I was able to support XThreads.
