GIMP CC Theme

[ Backported from GIMP 2.9.2 themes for use with GIMP 2.8.18 and above. Will no longer be supported after this release. ]

Collection of three themes i created to give GIMP 2.8.x a similar look and feel as you'd find in Photoshop.

Install

Copy the theme folders to the locations here depending on your OS :

Windows: %userprofile%\.gimp-2.8\themes

Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.8/themes or ~/.gimp-2.8/themes

• (You may have to unhide the Library folder first)

Linux: ~/.gimp-2.8/themes or /home/<your user name>/.gimp-2.8/themes

Note

• The PS style icons i believe are from Martin Owens (at http://gimpstuff.org/content/show.php/Toolbox+Icons+like+Photoshop?content=159292) though i got theme through another theme.
• To have similar keyboard shortcuts copy the ps_menurc to your personal .gimp-2-8 folder and rename it to menurc (original available at http://epierce.freeshell.org/gimp/gimp_ps.php).
• Lifehacker has a nice article on making GIMP closer to Photoshop http://lifehacker.com/how-to-make-the-gimp-work-more-like-photoshop-1551318983 .
• Make the toolbar icons smaller by add the line after the colon to the beginning of the gtkrc file for the desired theme : gtk-icon-sizes = "gtk-small-toolbar=16,16:gtk-large-toolbar=16,16"

Buttons remain light gray on OSX (Gimp 2.8.18)

First, awesome work and themes.
Just installed Gimp 2.8.18 on OSX (El Capitan) and applied your themes.
Some elements of the ui remain light gray so text is unreadable. Also, some labels are dark as the background so they are invisible. See screenshot.
My mistake installing? Can I edit something in theme files to make it work?
The problem is related to the version of OS X? Or it is related to the latest version of GIMP?

GIMP Menu Bar - Weird rendering

Hi, first of all let me thank you for your theme, it is the closest to Photoshop that I could find!

I have this issue on the Dark and Darkest themes, where the disabled options on the menu appear to be blurred and really hard to read (check the "Anchor Layer" and "Merge Down" options):

This only happens on these themes, could you look into it please?

crashes when applying theme then uses default

When I apply the theme GIMP crashes and when I open it it's the default theme. GIMP 2.8 w/ Linux mint

On retina screen icons looks blurry #bug

TY for amazing dark themes for GIMP,
On MacBook pro 2017 with IPS screen icons looks blurry,
I think we have to use double pixel sizes for icons.

gimp fails to start on Linux with theme applied

Tried in on Mint (Ubuntu derivative) and Arch.
