Draconic Evolution adds powerful new tools, Items, weapons and Armor. The premise is the enigmatic ore - Draconium. As you progress you find it has many uses from the mundane such as machines and items, to the near-mystical at the top with Awakened Draconium to make extremely powerful armor and tools.

This mod is licensed under the Don't Be a Jerk License created by CoFH. I herby grant permission to use this mod in any mod pack without the need to request permission from myself the owner (brandon3055).

Ability to add to OreDoublingRegistry

It would be very much appreciated if there was some way to interface with the OreDoublingRegistry, outside of registering to the OreDictionary.

In Ex Nihilo/Astris, the broken ores are (deliberately) not added to the ore dictionary, but this means that the Draconic Chest won't double them, even though it probably should.

My suggestion would be to use a List that stores an input, and then call FurnaceRegistry to get the output, then double it.

Draconic Chest Observations

First off I'd like to say I love this mod, it's the most fun I've had in a while playing with a new mod. So thanks for that. Out standing work ๐Ÿ‘

After playing with the chest for a while I've found some things that are very minor, but thought I'd bring to your attention anyway.

When moving bulk items from the chest to inventory using hotkey Shift+control everything moves as expected, but if you pick up a stack with your mouse press shift then double click another stack of items to transfer them, when the items move the bottom two rows (six slots) of the crafting grid get filled with stacks of items. Thought it a bit odd.

I've been using the chest to do bulk processing of some ores along with ae2 pushing items in and out and unfortunately the export bus (even at it's lowest setting) can push out items faster then the chest can process them. So what happens is the chest gets completely full of raw ore and stops cooking completely because it has nowhere to put the new ingots.
I wouldn't call this a bug, but maybe a spot for improvement. just an idea...
Perhaps it could be made so that right clicking an inventory slot of the chest it would lock it (maybe turn red) and make it so the furnace always has a spot to put it's output, and cant get bogged down and stopped.

[SUGGESTION] Automatic junk compressor

This one comes from my dislike of both cobble and wasting, and it involves a new option for the Staff of Power. I'd like to see the option to autocraft or auto-compress dropped items into a storage variant. This means redstone to blocks, lapis to blocks, cobble (so much cobble) to compressed cobble if the player has Extra Utilities, etc. This vastly decreases the loss caused by the void junk option without drowning you in waste like without void junk. Note that this is meant to be a sort of in-between, a way to have the best features of both with and without void junk, not a replacement for either.

Suggestion

I was looking around at different mods in Infinity as well as Monster mod packs from the FTB launcher. Is it possible for you to make the Mob Grinder enchantable with looting? This was an idea i got from Rotary craft, Quarry plus. Ender quarries and Ender IO (killer joe using enchanted weapons).

Energy Pylon will not output directly to a TE Tesseract

An Energy Pylon will input power directly from a Thermal Expansion Tesseract but not output directly to one. When I say directly, I mean having the Tesseract right next to the Energy Pylon with no conduits/pipes. Adding conduits/pipes from the Energy Pylon to the Tesseract will cause power to be output without changing any settings on the Tesseract nor moving it.

Crash When Looking At Achievements

I'm using a custom modpack, forge .1240, and Draconic-Evolution-1.7.10-v1.0.0e.jar. Whenever I go through the mod achievement pages, I always crash at a specific point. I believe that the page where it crashes is Draconic Evolution based off of the crash report. It seems to be failing to render a pig's mob soul, so it crashes and prevents me from looking at achievements.

Shovel of the Wyvern can't dig up Cursed Earth in a 3x3 area

Using FTB Infinity 1.2.1 pack, Draconic Evolution 1.0.1 snapshot 3, whenever I try to dig up cursed using the 3x3 area, it gets to where the block almost breaks, then it resets the progress and starts over. Switching to 1x1 fixes it to do individual blocks, not sure if this is a bug or intended, but figured I'd report it.

crash when arrow its ender dragon from HCEE

Minecraft crashes when i have hardcore ender expansion and draconic evolution in, if i firet a arrow form one of draconic's bows as soon as it hits the ender dragon minecraft crashes. I am sorry if it is not on your side, if it is not pleas let me know and i will report it to the HCEE dev.

Also if there is any other info you need let me know. :)

cant get the GUI to show

i have the Wyvern armor full
and the wyvern pickaxe
but i cant see the GUI and i cannot put books in it
also i cannot modify the jump boost
what is the keybind for it sins i have pressed all my keys on my keyboard and its not showing how i open the GUI of a tool or armor

Enhanced Charm not playing well with Mystcraft

Iโ€™ve been playing on Feed the Beast Infinity (1.2.1) and have noticed that when using the enhanced charm of dislocation to tp to mystcraft worlds that the world weather, lighting, and sky type (eg. ender star field) are not correct. The worlds often have black skies, rain or snow when there should be none. But using the book to enter the world and everything is correct. Logging out and back in while the visual problems are present will correct the issue.

The issue is present in v.1.0.1-snapshot-3 included in the pack and in the latest v1.0.1-snapshot-5 which I manually updated too hoping to resolve the issue.

Wireless/Advanced Wireless Transceivers Crash [MP]

I was playing Single Player on the latest version of DE and stumbled upon the the amazing Wireless Energy Transceivers!! Played around with them and decided to go for them on a Multiplayer server, and found that each time I place either of the Wireless Transceivers, I crash the whole server, then when we restart, if I am within a certain (small) range of the transceiver I get disconnected for "A fatal error" ... Admins had to use World Edit/Voxel Tools to remove it because it was a ghost block, and never was actually placed when I tried before crash. It remains in my inventory.

Working on getting the crash log.

Draconium Charging Exploit

via the draconium flux capacitors (and i presume any other capacitors), you can place any number of draconium blocks on your hot bar and only use 100m rf per slot to turn them into charged draconium blocks

meaning you could charge an entire stack for 100m rf rather than 6.4b RF

this happened on FTB Infinity in case that's important but i doubt it

Mob Soul Slime

The Slime Mob Soul Item is flickering through the different sizes like crazy...
Probably there is the same issue with the Magma Cube, but i didn't gotten this item yet.

Crash when using the Draconic Book

I'm using a custom modpack, forge .1240, and Draconic-Evolution-1.7.10-v1.0.0e.jar. A player on my server experienced a crash when he opened his Draconic book. This issue does not occur consistently 100% of the time, but it does occur.

From the looks of it, it seems similar to the achievements crash I reported earlier. I can provide any additional information if necessary. Please fix this whenever possible, thank you! :)

Energy Storage multiblock detection

Currently the Energy Core will only check for 6 specific Draconium blocks to see if the multiblock is valid but returns the full structure on deconstruction.

Tools + Blocks with metadata issue

hey,

if you break a block with the ID 343:4 for example it will drop the block 343 which is an big issue with creative items from thermal expansion or ender io because it will drop the creative type of the block if you break the normal one for example Hardened Strongbox -> Creative Strongbox.

Chest leak

Hello,
I'm running now a FTB Infinity 1.3.4 server.
Since 1.3.0 there is a problem with the Draconic chest and there is no way I could fix it alone or disable it through the config files.
So the problem are:

  1. when it used it takes alot of resources from the server, mostly memory.
  2. When you don't use the chest, If you leave it after you click on one of the buttons, like 'all' and etc, it still keep using the server resources and even much more.

I could give you the server logs but it don't show anything.
I just saw the server use too much of rams, when I did /cofh tps I saw 'Overworld [0]: 20.00 TPS/17.90MS (100%)' and then used /opis to find what happend and saw one draconic chest that eating the memory.
After I changed it to 'off' it stoped and server now is on 'Overworld [0]: 20.00 TPS/2.70MS (100%)'

[SUGGESTION] GUI Resize

Having the GUI resize based on your gui size would be helpful, because for me to read the book or to see the whole of the draconic chest I have to lower the gui size to see it.

Below are Normal GUI and Auto size as you can see when set to Auto I cannout navigate the book at all.

Add energy-bar for half-charged draconium blocks

I would really appreciate if there was an energy-bar for half-charged draconium blocks. On our server we have a wireless charger and it took me a good while to figure out why my draconium suddenly refused to stack and where all of our energy went.. ๐Ÿ˜ With an energy-bar (or at least some kind of progress display in the tooltip this would have been a lot easier to figure out. Also, this is probably also pretty useful on it's own.

Chaos Island Generation Crashes Server and No Dragon on Restart

As soon as i generate a chaos island the server crashes. Upon restart the island is there and intact but with no dragon. please help!

Draconium Chest Inefficiency

Cause:
Draconium Chest's Description Packet is a copy of the full state of the entire inventory.

Issue:
When players put NBT heavy data inside the chest, such as ME drives, they receive

Fix:
Remove inventory itemstack synchronization from getDescription Packet.

Move into Container/Gui data flow, as normal chest inventories are.

Resolves:
Unnecessary data synchronization to multiple clients. Everyone nearby receives the entire inventory data, even when it is completely unnecessary for them to do so.

[SUGGESTION] Quick-switch settings for the Draconic Staff of Power

Here is a suggestion I feel the Staff would benefit from. Basically, I'd like to see a way to set two or three different modes for the Staff that can be set independently but can be switched between without too much effort. For example, say I'd like to the Staff for making tunnels, for precision mining and for ripping huge sections of the world apart instantly. With multiple modes I would be able to set mode A to dig 1x1x1 with decreased speed. Mode B would be 3x3x1, increased speed, and mode C would be set to 9x9x9, default speed. If I could just use right-click to switch that would save me a lot of effort to alter my settings every time.

[Suggestion] Config to disable ore generation

The modpack I'm creating uses it's own custom ore gen through CoFH. However we have no way of disabling Draconic Evolution's ore gen to substitute our own. Would it be possible to add a config that disables it?

disable Advanced Player Detector in config

Is it possible to have a config option to disable the Advanced Player Detector?

I ask this because a certain OP on a server I run was going to play a small prank by placing the player detector next to a command block, set to teleport a certain player away when that player approached a certain chest. They setup the command block first, now no one can approach that chest, not even to get rid of it.

RF API is out of date.

Just a heads up for you, your RF API is outdated. That will cause a few issues. ;)

When sending power, you should be looking for IEnergyReceivers.

request a chest spot for the tools

Basic a user can put there ender chest in the tools gui and each time the go minning al items will go into the chest not the player inventory. This would open alot of options for player they then would be able to have an processing center at home which allow them to mine longer without having to stop to put the items in a chest.

Question about generator

Can you make a way to automatically remove empty bucket from generator like vanilla furnaces do?
I.e. if you put a hopper under furnace it will drop empty bucket into hopper if you using lava buckets to feed the furnace.
Or other option: generator will accept liquid fuel like combustion generator from Ender IO mod.

enderman head and draconic chest

Accidentally right clicked my draconic chest with a tinkers tweaks enderman skull and it erased my chest with everything in it. I am using Draconic Evolution v1.0.1_snapshot 3 and tinkers tweaks v2.1.2. Both for 1.7.10. We are using the Flashcraft modpack through Technic Launcher

[SUGGESTION] Tool HUD Size

When playing on the large GUI setting, it causes the tool HUD to take up a large portion of the screen. Can we have the tool HUD be able to be scaled down/up separately from what the user's GUI scale is set to? Sort of like how the WAILA HUD works.

Minor Armor improvement

Just started FTB Infinity and got the basic Wyvern Armor.
Two things I recognized about the armor:

  • Jumping out of sprint feels really wonky, since the jump slows you down significantly
  • The Boots seem to drain RF even if you have other Items that prevent fall damage, e.g. Extra Utilities Angel Wings

Energy Pylon Range (on Max Size Power Cores)

It'd be great to have a larger range in which to place the energy pylons, especially on the Tier 6 core.

Currently the max is 6 blocks up or down and 15 (?) out, but when you're using a Tier 6 Power Core this means you can't have the pylons directly under the structure, and at 6 below center-line they start to ride way up into the bottom of the core!

So on a max-size you can't have your input/output on top/bottom like you might want :/

Crashing and Obliteration Mode

I am currently playing on FTB Infinity. When you open up the Draconic tool menu, if you have other items that take charge in your inventory, the game will often crash. Also, the obliteration mode on the Draconic Pickaxe does not work. I have checked the config and the block id's are listed. Thanks for reading this!
