Some of the labels overlap. I've tried using ggforce, but even if I set a constant seed the labels end up jittering around a bit, which is extremely annoying. It may make sense to manually position some of the labels. This would also fix things like Müllheim, which is in the smaller Eastern section, rather than the larger Western section.

At the moment I have to render the image locally (actually by writing the images to files and then running gifski gganim_plot0* -o Ganimation.gif -W 1200 -H 800 -Q 100 -r 10, since the r-gifski package has some weird errors on my laptop. It should be possible to automate the production and merge it all back in with github actions.
