Generates shorts of trending articles on Dossified.com.

Setup

1. Install ffmpeg

2. Download dependencies

$ go mod download

3. Edit config.toml

4. Run application using: make run

dossified-shorts-generator's Issues

Docker support for deployment

Docker container for deployment is required.

Following tools need to be available in the container:

1. Chromium
2. GoWitness
3. ffmpeg

Instagram reels support

Support for Instagram Reels needs to be added.

TikTok Support

Support for TikTok uploads needs to be added.

README.md update

The current readme is quite short, and misses some important information such as the requirement of GoWitness, therefore an update is necessary.

1. Remove setup step 2, since it automatically happens when running make run
2. Add setup step for GoWitness
3. Badges 😄
4. Some links to the website
5. Whatever else might come to mind

Dry run flags required

It is necessary to add dry-run flags to disable the automatic upload functionality.

Screenshots remain after video has been created

It is required that the screenshots are deleted after their video has been created.

This causes new videos made on the same machine to add the previously made screenshots to the video as well.

CI verifications required

CI checks for formatting & compilation are required.
