backbone-mongodb's Issues

is there a working example?

hi,

I'm lokking around a nice way to get server and client side model coding done only once. I would like to use mongodb for server side storage, and backbone for general model management both on the server and cilent.

I guess that your idea is the same, but as I'm new to node, I could not really find out whether it works or is it more like a prototyping approach. Thus, I would like to ask for some examples.

I've tried to run your vows specs too, but I could not get them running at all. This is my traceback when I've added the required node modules directly to backbone-mongodb.

$ ./vows ../../../spec/* --spec

node.js:201
throw e; // process.nextTick error, or 'error' event on first tick
              ^
TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'extend'

    at Object.<anonymous> (/home/akasha/versioning/git/backbone-mongodb/backbone-mongodb.js:59:4)
    at Module._compile (module.js:441:26)

    at Module.load (module.js:348:31)
    at Function._load (module.js:308:12)
    at Module.require (module.js:354:17)
    at require (module.js:370:17)
    at Object.<anonymous> (/home/akasha/versioning/git/backbone-mongodb/spec/collection_spec.js:5:23)
    at Module._compile (module.js:441:26)

(Might be that I don't know how to run vows as this was the first time I've tried it.)

Could you help me getting started, please? Actually, I'm pretty sure that once I get the vows running I'll manage to understand your code. :)

Finally one more question. Running npm install backbone-mongodb does not install your module, but something totally different. Is there an npm way of installing your modules?

thanks for your help

Is this alive?

Are you still working on this? Do you still use mongodb / backbone?
