About Me

I am a recent Texas A&M University graduate, currently working as a NASA contractor with Odyssey Space Research. I am very interested in large scale and high performance computing and networking, as well as embedded systems, computer architecture and hardware design. My current hobby and personal project is creating a modular home automation software to fully control and interact with a smart home, and smart cloud services. My current work project is for the 2024 Gateway Space Station project, helping us go back to the moon to improve our technology and start planning humanity's future, away from Earth.

TCP Timeout issue stemming from TPLink Kasa api

constant TCPTimeout errors, I think stemming from line 93 of TPLinkDevice.js

Register Home Assistant as a platform in HomeBridge

The goal here is to make Home Assistant show up as a "platform" to HomeBridge, so anything that Home Assistant can control, so can HomeBridge

Would be nice to look into adding additional HomeBridge logic in the device module files, so that additional functionality to HomeBridge is still kept in the same file as the rest of the device's logic

The REST API needs to be changed to Swagger

I want to simplify how we do web apis, and I think the best way to do that is to use the leading format right now. A lot will need to be converted, and I think the change needs to be all at once (on one merge commit)

program crashes when setting hue light state

Server crashes if Harmony Hub IP address is wrong

if there is a harmony hub that isn't connected / has different IP address, the program crashes during the startup phase in processDevices

Autogen config files

We need a way to automatically generate all the necessary config files, and examples, automatically.

harmony devices not showing up when running on raspi

Integrate InfluxDB as a logger

Create a connection handler from the server to an InfluxDB instance, and create a log function that can be toggled on.

Will this become an integral part of the build or a module? Will Home Assistant spin up a container, or run in a container where it is already installed and configured?

Create a config editor page

create a GUI for creating and modifying the main config files, as well as some others if helpful
