Python-CoffeeScript is a bridge to the JS CoffeeScript compiler.

A short example

Installation

$ pip install CoffeeScript

or

$ easy_install CoffeeScript

Update test_script

The current test script does not examine the case that a list of file paths is passed as the first argument of compile_files.

Add %load_ext for IPython/Jupyter notebook use

It would be great to have code for ipython magic e.g. https://gist.github.com/bollwyvl/de3b4ca8b6ed8bb28f86 built directly into this package.

Can't pip install but easy_install works.

Not sure why but for some reason pip install isn't working with coffeescript. easy_install will, I have also tried pip installing from this git repo:
pip install https://github.com/doloopwhile/Python-CoffeeScript/zipball/master

as well as:
pip install -e git+git://github.com/doloopwhile/Python-CoffeeScript.git#egg=Python-CoffeeScript

It would be nice to pip install as it is part of our requirements file.

Produce Source Maps

It would be good to have a map flag as well as a bare flag to have the option of producing source maps.

Add a command line CoffeeScript compiler

It would be useful to have a command line replacement for the CoffeeScript compiler provided by Node.JS's coffee-script module (coffee --compile). I've written one, but I don't know how to integrate it into your pip package.

Compatibility with python3

I'm trying to upgrade my existing python2 code to python3, Is coffeescript also works with python3?

Add a direct download link to PyPI

It would be nice to have either a PyPI-hosted package or a direct download link in setup.py. It is very helpful when one has to maintain a mirror of PyPI with a strict set of available packages.
