The project is using yarn zero-installs which stores a lot of stuff in the repo. This might be a bit too much for such a small project. The ratio of project code vs the rest is off by a lot.

A picture is worth more than a thousand words. I want to be able to show one or more diagrams embedded in Markdown files of how this currently works.

Ideally, I would like to have diagrams as code using Mermaid but Diagrams has all the necessary components to create a diagram as well.

In the TODO section it mentions a wish to create an AWS CloudFormation template to deploy stack with SNS topic to work on cross-account notification issues.

This idea needs a revision. The current repo content is definitely missing documentation of the infrastructure and automation that will automatically deploy the updated version to AWS Lambda.
