Zephyrus S17 GX701LV support

Hello! I own a Zephyrus S17 laptop with specifications, which are very similar to your Zephyrus M15:

• Processor: Core i7-10750H
• Graphics: RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 / Intel UHD630
• RAM: 48GB DDR4 2933MHz
• Hard Disk: PCI NVMe 2TB SSD
• Wifi & Bluetooth: Intel Wireless AX201

Thus I tried your OpenCore setup to launch Big Sur 11.2.2 install image. Soon after Apple logo appears, the screen blinks and then turns black; then, after a bit of USB drive and disk activity sensors blinking, nothing happens at all. I tried enabling debug logs by setting Misc -> Debug -> Target to 67 in config.plist (as per https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/troubleshooting/debug.html), but the log produced is strangely 256 long of zero (\x00) bytes.

It would be great if you could give me a hint on getting this investigated further.

Can not enter BIOS on Zephyrus M GU502GU

Hi,
Thanks so much for your contribution.
I have an issue, after settings for BIOS as below:

1. Advanced > SATA and change the option from Intel to ACPI
2. Advanced > DVMT Pre-Allocated Graphics and change this to 64MB
3. Boot > Secure Boot and turn off Secure Boot
4. Boot -> turn off Fast Boot

Restart the computer and it's stuck on the ROG logo, can not enter BIOS again to boot macOS USB installation. I had to clear CMOS and reset BIOS to the default. Could you please give me a suggestion?

3.5mm headphone jack not working

Hi dkoluris,I have GU502LWS (with a 4K screen and 10875H CPU),
First I was surprised to see your description of headphone jack working. but for me, everything works perfectly but the silent headphone.
Then I download your EFI files but the problem still remains.
In detail, when an earphone is plugged in, no sound is heard from it. On the other hand, the system do recognize that there is a headphone, and it seems that the volume can be adjusted.
I’ve tried layout-id 21 and 22, which make the speaker work well, but the headphone is always silent.

My friend has a brother version of GU502 with 240Hz refresh rate, and he reports the same problem.
It really bothers me for two months, so I turn to you for assistance, I’d appreciate it if you could give me some advice.

I confirm it’s ALC294 sound card and layout-id 21 or 22 works. Apart from the 10875H, RTX2060, other devices are completely the same to yours.

[question] color profile

@dkoluris i'm off topic here(sorry about that) but i was wondering about the color profile provided here,which is philips one.
I have the same laptop(the 4K version with RTX 2060) but on Windows. Could this color profile get me better colors or it's just specific for MacOS. Thanks 👍

dGPU re-enables itself sometimes after sleep

While the laptop is able to maintain a 35C temperature with dGPU disabled by using the patched SSDT, it seems that sometimes the dGPU gets re-enabled after wake from sleep and system temperature rises to 50C on idle, which is really bad. Need to investigate possible solutions for this.

HDMI or USB-C DP out

Since the dGPU is disabled to preserve power, we need to investigate whether HDMI or USB-C DP out is connected to the iGPU. My best guess is that none is, but we need to make sure.

my system boot and then stop on apple logo with your efi

POWER OFF dGPU

Hi dkoluris, I have a legion with 10750h, i cannot turn off the power of gtx1660ti.
did you get turn off on your asus?
In his readme comments that his fans are even hearing idle.
I think this is a symptom that maybe dGPU is not off, it happens to me too.
I measured the total consumption(with energy meter) on windows in idle u is 15w, on mac is 50w
