Extension update or first installation requires brackets (and nodejs) restart but this doesnt happen automatically

As of right now, the new file extension type are being added to the end of the table which may appear out of order. Consider sort the extension in a specific order (alphabet).

Site names must be error checked to contain valid input (like disallowing spaces) or altered to be able to accept spaces in the name.

edit site command is registered multiple times, but it used to only be registered once

If you unchecked "Treat files without extension as ASCII", add 'txt' to the list, and FTP a .txt file, the transfer type is binary.

This setting says that files that don't have extensions should be treated as ASCII. I think it the intent is actually "Treat files not in the ASCII list as ASCII" - Is this correct?

Upload root directory is not being validated during uploading process an no error is being displayed.

1. Create a new site.
2. Delete a site.
3. Observe that "Upload Project..." is still present even though it is not applicable.

it appeas that the git extenion can detect always when new files are added and perhaps they have a good and reliable technique of detecting when new files are added. they dont seem to have the issues we do of a project tree not be rendedered and we cant detect which files are present.

There is no indicator if there are FTP failures for basic errors like invalid user name, password, connection not opened, and permissions are inadequate.

The Brackets editor runs on Linux but you cannot use OS FTP to upload from Linux to another remote machine. Bash scripts would probably be used.

There is no indicator how long a running process will take to finish and no way to stop a running processes without closing brackets.

Uploading .txt files is done as binary @ldl5007

Create / edit a site and alter the "Server Type" to something besides "z/OS". Save and close and relaunch to observe that the Server Type is set again to "z/OS".

Sometime ftp project result in no file is being selected. If file in the project is being updated outside of brackets, (in this case I was using Git pull to synch my dev project). For now the issue can be over come easily just by selecting the action again.
