Add additional unit strings
Add additional strings for matching currently included units. This includes things like m2 in addition to m^2 and similar.
Add area conversions
Add area conversion factors for common area units
Fix error handling
Raise an error if a unit string is not recognized or if something goes wrong instead of returning "error" as a string. The current design leads to difficult to find bugs.
