we ran several simulations on RJ data and MU284 data to be sure that the rescaled bootstrap was working correctly; we should eventually make these into unit tests

There are some RDS functions in here, mainly because the generalized scale-up paper needed them for its empirical example. But they aren't really the focus of the package; better to move them elsewhere eventually.

Need to improve documentation for a few functions (especially with examples):

• bootstrap.estimates
• rescaled.bootstrap.weights
• srs.bootstrap.sample

It would also be really helpful to have a vignette

I see in your wishlist that you hope to use the purrr package but need it to support parallelization. I just wanted to point out that the furrr package integrates purrr with the future package for parallelization. (future.apply does similar for base apply(), etc.)
