Hi James, thanks for the report.

note quite sure what is going on yet. The erroring-url has a "%3a" or : unencoded at the end of the file - i don't seem to be able to get that.

The server log doesn't seem to contain the "info" and "error" messages from devpi-server. I'd like to see them as they should tell a bit how remote sites responded.

Also which command were you executing to install things?

I'd very much like to get to the bottom of this so am ready to help in any way i can.
