Clavo Entry

Project name = Clavo

team members= Boris dolenc @bocsta, David Yu @David1011

Email=[email protected]

Project Repository https://github.com/bocsta/Clavo

Aim
The Clavo project has been created as an entry into the Devery.io hackathon. The vision of this project is to create a platform where companies, organisations and single users are able to utilise a blockchain's immutable ledger technology, to prove the authenticity and provenance of a physical item.
It has been estimated that the cost of counterfeit items being sold as authentic products is costing artists and companies over 300billion dollars annually. Recently, a parliamentary committee was created in Australia that focused on the sale of fake Aboriginal art work that has flooded the Australian domestic market. It has been estimated that up to 80% of Aboriginal art and souvenirs being sold in Australian shops are created by non-aboriginal artists or are mass produced forgeries.
One of the difficulties in providing a service that will allow artist and companies the chance to utilise blockchain, supply chain solutions, is the geographical and logistical constraints that these groups face when trying to add the product to a blockchain based service. Our projects aim is to provide a solution for this

Method
The focus of the Clavo team will be to create a platform where individual users will be able to sign up and become members of the created platform.
Once an individual user becomes a member of the platform, it will allow that user, the opportunity to program their own NFC chips/tags/stickers and link the unique NFC chip to a platforms blockchain.
Members of the platform will be able to use their own NFC enabled phones or device as a way of programming each unique NFC chip. Once the NFC has been programmed by the user, the platform will facilitate the linking of that chip to the blockchain. An Android/ios app will be created to facilitate this process.
The Android/ios app will also be available for any mainstream user to download so that they are able to read and identify a product as being authentic and from the legitimate source.

Auto Tracker

Project Name - Auto Tracker
Team Members - John Grant, @johngrantuk
Team Contact Email - [email protected]

Project Pitch -
Auto Tracker is an app for the auto industry.

When purchasing a car it is difficult to verify the maintenance history, authenticity of the work carried out and the part provenance. If you're lucky some paper log books are present but these are often unreliable.

The app allows car owners to create a verifiable digital history of all maintenance and upgrades undertaken on the vehicle as well as prove the authenticity of any parts fitted. This information can then be shared, i.e. to potential buyers when selling the car.

The app allows registered service providers an interface to add products, mark work carried out to the Blockchain, track previous work history and ensure parts purchased are authentic.

Project Pitch -

Ethereum barcode - the platform for creating and managing barcode via Ethereum blockchain. The lower priсe for barcode registration (few dollars), you pay just for writing data to Ethereum. You don't need to wait a few weeks, you get barcode instantly.

Devery Explorer

Project Name - Devery Explorer
Team Members - John Grant, @johngrantuk
Team Contact Email - [email protected]

Project Pitch -

This app gives an interface to easily explore some of the Devery information stored. This kind of easy to use interface will be required to allow app users the ability to determine if products, items, etc information claimed by an app is actually real.

I also would've found something like this really useful when I first started working on my other Hackathon entry to confirm operation so maybe someone else will find it helpful some day!
