FEATURE REQUEST: EXPENSIVE RECIPE

Minecraft Version: 1.20.1
Mod Version: Forge 47.2.19

Hi! Can you change its recipe from one iron block on top to something like this : Iron Block + Nether star + Iron Block
This will make it much more expensive and fitting cost for such a powerful weapon if not overpowered which it deserves imo, thank you for porting this weapon to 1.20.1.

Add wind loads.

I don't know about mods, but it would be great to have the wind charges next to the mace.

[Question] Mod version

Sorry for the strange question, but is the support for version 1.7.10 real or is this an April Fool's joke? And I also don't understand what this mod is for? It's not a Mace Backport, is it? Or is there something I don't understand? If this is really the mod I'm thinking of, then where can I download the jar file?

Mace issues.

  1. Idk why but you can use the Mace like a sword. So just attack anything without jumping to swing.
  2. Mace crafting recipe is pretty cheap for being better than all the swords.
  3. Mace can be enchanted with sharpness. (there also isn't new enchants)

I think the Mace is like a retexture iron sword with it's falling attack abilities.

Config File Tasks

It would be interesting to add a config to this mod that adds the following settings.

  • Configure the maximum damage layer of the mace, set a damage limit in other words.
  • Set whether to allow the mace to ignore fall damage on hit.
  • Configure the base attributes of the mace (I know it can be done with commands or other methods, but it would be easier to do it through the config) Ex. Damage, Attack speed
  • Set whether elytras should affect Mace damage
    If the Breeze load is added, well...:
  • Configure the maximum stack amount of breeze loads.
  • Set the load thrust.

These are all the ideas that came to mind but they would be interesting to add.

Data packs do not work.

The mace recipe for this mod cannot be changed using the data pack. You can create a new recipe by setting the recipe ID to something other than mace_crafting_recipe, but as soon as you set the ID to mace_crafting_recipe, it stops working. Other mods work fine. It also works even if I rewrite the mod's recipe file. And oddly enough, all mods that backport mace have this problem.

Mace doesn't scale with damage attribute.

Well, this is a suggestion or reminder so to speak, but the changes from the new versions to version 1.18.2 and 1.12.2 still need to be implemented.

Edit: While testing the mod I saw a few bugs to notice:

  • The mace does not scale with artifacts that grant attack damage attribute, example of this are artifact gloves.
  • It would be nice to add a config file to configure the maximum damage cap layer of the mace.
