electron-is's Introduction

Hello there! ๐Ÿš€โ˜๏ธ

I'm an Engineering Manager at Elastic, leading the Cloud Ingress team and I'm passionate about building inclusive and high-performing teams. I constantly forward the enrichment of my knowledge and exploring new technologies.

I love Open Source and enjoy designing developer tooling with a focus on performances and developer experience. I'm one of the lead maintainers of Fastify, a speedy web framework for Node.js, but I also contribute to many other Open Source projects.

electron-is's Issues

Cannot be uglified in Webpack.

As I said in #5, right now this can't be uglified with Webpack. I don't know what would be a better approach.

I would like to load this directly, I don't know if you are willing to make this a ES5 module, or if that it's even possible, cause you use ... and I don't know how to imite it with ES5.

avoid using monkey-patch

For some reason, monkey-patch dynamic modifications aren't preferred. I suggest to read these pitfalls of monkey-patching and avoid using that in the library and also refactor the library.

Why functions in the first place?

What I don't get is why is.osx() instead of is.osx. process.platform will only change if the developer explicitly changes it, same goes for the others.
