  • Shutdown
  • Front Panel USB-C
  • Thunderbolt 3 (for graphics or for usb when powered on with it)

Installation

  • It is HIGHLY recommended you read through the Open Core Install Guide before using this repository. There's no guarantee that the way I've set this up will work for your machine and you may need to tweak bios settings, kexts, etc.

config.plist

  • Be sure to generate a new MLB, Serial Number and SmUUID for the SMBIOS. Opencore has details on this as well

Wi-Fi / Bluetooth

  • I replaced the stock Asrock Wi-Fi / BT card with a BCM94350ZAE WiFi / Bluetooth Chip. (create an issue if you'd like more documentation on this process)
  • Moved to this card - I've tested 5ghz and BT on both MacOS and Windows and each works without a problem as of 6/07/2019

Why I Decided to Build a Hackintosh

My reasons for using macOS are pretty straightforward: I am a developer that loves MacOS for the look and feel of the operating system, and also MacOS' UNIX development environment. Anything outside of the MacPro will run hot and slower than a desktop PC unfortunately. Opencore is surprisingly easy to setup, and works pretty smoothly, even in beta.

Wifi Card isn't working

I have the same Lenovo BCM Card and BIOS 4.0. I cant turn wifi on at all. Bluetooth works fine. Any suggestions?

More details about the Wi-Fi module

Hello. Thanks for sharing your guide!

I built a hackintosh a while ago with built-in Intel Wi-Fi card (with only BT working of course), and now looking for a macOS-supported card to activate AirDrop.

Now since your card is an M.2 one, I was wondering how you managed to connect it. Is it through replacing the built-in card, or by using another M.2 or PCI-e slot?

I'm asking this since it would be ideal to just replace the built-in card and not waste slots, but I heard some things about normal M.2 cards like these not being supported by the CNVi interface found on both your ASRock and my Gigabyte motherboards.

Also, is there a reason you changed your Wi-Fi card? Your old one is more shipping-accessible to me, so I'm wondering if you faced any problems with it, or is it still a good option?

Wlan and BT on Dell 1820 A

Hallo from Germany,

I have the sam configuration, but the BCM94350ZAE (Dell 1820A) will only work for Wlan not for Bluetooth and only when the Intel card was before in the m.2 connector.

When i have the Dell inside and make a Mainboard Reset then the OSX hangs (also win 10 can not start the dell) . When i remove the Dell, insert the Intel and then put the the Dell back, it works again.

What can i do? Is this a Bios Problem ( I tried 1.2 and 1.5 ). Or are there various Dell 1820A cards

Preview isn't working

Preview stops responding when I try to open images, probably something with the igpu
