MaveFund API

Introduction

This is an API and a backend system for mavefund.com. It is built using the FastAPI framework and is hosted on IONOS VPS.

MaveFund library

The MaveFund library is a python library that is used to interact with the MaveFund API and is available on PyPI.

And it is hosted on GitHub.

Change Authentication middleware

change the authentication middleware to use the header value "Bearer {token}" instead of the qookie token.

table size fix the length of digits

for login-and register, give better error message, instead of generic 'error occured'.

we could coordinate API responses for error messages, or @JosephSKh could take the error message from the response.

colors inside of one central css file for easier editing.

just make /static/css/colors.css for ease of color changing for the future

minor integration bugs then we're done.

there are some bugs and the integration is not tested. we should go through it and check as much as we can and then deliver the product.

move to hostinger

we could move to Hostinger if we need it

home page needs just a little more optimization

register has a bug, it does not really work idk why

Payments

we need payment system, the user should be able to make payments and subscriptions using the stripe library.

mavefund.com/plans has 3 buttons, each one should take the user to the correct page.

redirect to plans if the user tries accessing forbidden endpoints

Python library

we need to test the python library for getting all the records as a pandas dataframe.

Rate limit users from downloading more than 100 companies in a day

modify the app_user table, add downloaded_today INTEGER to track how many UNIQUE companies the user has downloaded today.

table name remapping

we want to remap the prefixes of the table data.
for example: gp_gross_margin -> Gross Margin %

we need some charts for the front end, it's not necessary but it would also be really nice and appreciated if we had one central CSS file, and actually you have full freedom to do as you wish for the front-end, like you can even build a simple minimalistic website from scratch if you feel that the one we have right now is too messy.

Rework front-end

we need to rework the front-end and make it better overall, and add functionality to it. we have some examples sent in the discord group chat. if you have any questions you can ask me or comment on this issue.
