blurip's Issues

Adding new avisynth script profile - all data lost on first attempt - does not save data the first time

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1."Edit Avisynth profiles" ("Settings" on toolbar); Drop down window "Add" new
avisynth profile
2.double click to enter newly added profile
3.all data entered is not saved after exiting; comes back again with "New
Avisynth Profile" in drop down window; requires a second attempt before data is
saved

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Create/Save new avisynth
profile the first time

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 5.1 W7 64
bit

set encoding thread priorities

for those like me who misuse their office pcs to encode blu-rays :) it would be
nice if one could specify the cpu process priority of the x264 encoding
background thread (i.e. "low priority", "normal priority", "high priority").

right now to keep the machine usable while there's an encode going on, i
manually switch the x264.exe's process priority to low through task manager.

Feature: MKV Splitting

A nice to have feature is mkv splitting.

on.split

I have to split big mkv's for use on fat32.

Thanks

muxing aborts when destination folder does not exist

blurip should check if the destionation folder does not exist, and if so,
create it before muxing.

BlueRip SVN R113 - Re-encode

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Completed project
2. Cannot load/reload demuxed streaminfo after above project completes
3. Cannot re-encode even if previous project output deleted BRX_video.mkv

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expect to be able to
reload demuxed stream info to start re-encode. Instead, re-encode is bypassed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SVN R113 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit running x264 encode in 32 bit mode

Please provide any additional information below. THIS WORKS ON VERSION 4.9
after reloading demuxed stream info AND deleting previous encode output
BRX_video.mkv file

subs without language information aren't copied after muxing

i got a bluray disc (concorde's german Knowing) whose streams do not have
language meta-information set (or at least where eac3to fails to extract the
meta-information). while blurip successfully processes and muxes the subs, they
aren't copied to the encoded directory despite the subs copy-options in the
settings is enabled.

probably due to the filenames being a bit weird as they miss language strings:

xx_006_subtitle_.sup
xx_006_subtitle__complete.idx
xx_006_subtitle__complete.sub
xx_006_subtitle__onlyforced.idx
xx_006_subtitle__onlyforced.sub
xx_007_subtitle_.sup
xx_007_subtitle__complete.idx
xx_007_subtitle__complete.sub

Foreign PGS subs missing language flag

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select any foreign (i.e. not English) subtitle in a M2TS.
2. Select mux all PGS subtitles.
3. Do a remux.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Only English PGS subs will have a language flag. IDX/SUB subtitles will have
language flag on all subtitles.
The subtitles without language flag will still work but it's annoying to not
have a language flag, instead it says "Undetermined/Unknown" in players.

"Abort" does not close x264.exe process

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Interrupting encode through "Abort"
2.Rerunning and aborting causes multiple x264.exe processes to keep running
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Abort also closes/ends
x264 process

feature request: save streaminfo.xml after demux even when errors occured

i have some blu-ray discs which won't demux properly due to the eac3to error
"Unfortunately the Haali Muxer cannot handle this source file. It doesn't
contain enough seek/recovery points.". blurip then errors out without creating
the streaminfo.xml

when this happens, i use tsMuxer to demux the video stream and create the
streaminfo.xml manually. instead of having to create the xml by myself, it
would be convenient if blurip could create it even in case there were demux
errors.

AVCHD output

It's not an issue, but it would be nice if you could extend it, so that the
output would be an AVCHD that can be played on PS3 with USB harddisc.
Then I would not need tsmuxer as a second tool to mux to AVCHD :)

Re-order Audio Tracks

What steps will reproduce the problem?
N/A

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Would love to see the ability to re-order audio tracks. I often choose FLAC
conversion for HD audio tracks, but I also choose to add a secondary AC3 track
for compatibility. I would like the secondary AC3 track to be the
primary/default track instead of the FLAC track. Reason being, those
hardware/software players that do not support FLAC will "choke" on the FLAC
file. Only solution is to manually select the AC3 track. I would rather the
FLAC track be selected manually since most of my client hardware/software
prefers the AC3 track.

Left and Right Crop Values Not being included in encode avs

What steps will reproduce the problem?
If I edit the advanced settings of a video file and manually edit the crop
values, the left and right crop values don't get included in the encode avs
file, so when I set the resize the video output is simply a vertical squash of
the original file.

This is required for older movies that aren't 1920 wide.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A video file with the correct amount of video cropped on the right and left

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.5.2

Enhancement: Avisynth Templates

The avisynth filters are great, but on a hexcore AMD I would like the ability
to select a script like:

SetMTmode(5,6)
DGSource("_002_video.dgi", crop_t= **T**, crop_b= **B**, crop_l= **L**, crop_r=
**R**, resize_w= **W**, resize_h= **H**)
changefps(last,last,true)
setmtmode(2)
MCTemporalDenoise(settings="low", strength=200)

Where Blurip fills in **T**, **B**, **L**, **R**, **W** & **H** from autocrop &
resize calculation (these values are dynamically generated for _encode.AVS, so
shouldn't be too hard to "dump" into a "template" script) ...

This results in ~ 5 FPS, whereas the Blurip method of just adding the
"MCTemporalDenoise" to the end of a "single threaded" avisynth script is often
under 1 FPS ...

Am happy to help with a selection of "generic" templates, etc ...

As a suggestion, a simple method of parsing the selected "Avisynth Template",
replace all occurences of **B** with "crop bottom" number, **T** with crop top,
**W** with calculated width integer, etc and use the "template" to write out
the _encode.AVS file ...

Would help imensely!

Thanks,

Requirements for using BluRip

Please add a list which shows what additional external tools BluRip needs to
work correctly (it would be fine to also include Links to the download-page of
those tools).

Video Preview not working

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load BluRip
2. Have all settings configured, select title
3. Click "Video Preview", the CPU churns for a bit, but nothing displays!

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect a preview windows, but nothing appears!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
svn144 on windows 7 x64 ;)

Please provide any additional information below.
Not sure it's meant to be functional just yet as I haven't noticed it on
previous versions !

Sporadic failure to mux

I'm using the latest SVN (142) on Windows 7, and I've had problems with muxing.

It's sporadic. Some titles don't mux. There's no indication in the log. It's
almost like I didn't click the "mux" checkbox.

This is all happening from the process queue -- since I almost never process
only one BDROM at a time, I don't have any idea if this happens during single
processing or not.

What's also interesting is that I've got BR set to delete the temp files when
done muxing, and it doesn't do that part either. So, I'm able to manually mux
the pieces with MKVMerge, but it's getting rather annoying.

When I was using the last release version 0.5.1, I did not have this problem.

I've attached a log file as an example. The log I'm attaching is from one that
did not mux.

switching encoding input method does not rewrite the .asv script

for yet unknown reasons, one of my blu-ray produces an FFVideoSource error
("Exception: FFVideoSource: The index does not match the source file"). this
first happens on autocrop, and later on also in the encoding phase.

i thus switched "AutoCrop input method" to DirectShowSource and rerun the
autocrop step. this worked fine, with blurip successfully finding the 140px
crop values.

at this point, i still had "Encoding input method" set to "FFVideoSource",
which produced the same exception in the encoding step. but this time,
switching the encoding input method to DirectShowSource still produced the same
error, as blurip didn't rewrite the .asv script (xx_encode.asv).

as a workaround, i had to rerun the Autocrop step to have the asv scripts
rewritten.

Request for a simple PROGRESS display!

Hi ya :)

Just wanted to request a very basic "progress" display (even if it's %, frames,
etc)! If wrong settings chosen, it's hard to know whether the whole process
will take hours or days!

Thanks

Thanks,
7

Fail to Mux after demux

It seems BluRip produces all necessary files but fails to Mux
If I mux the same files with mkvmerge manually the resulting file is fine
subtitles and all

The logs for two projects is attached below

Using Blurip v0.5.2
Windows 7

If I remove all subtitle streams from the project it will mux and complete
everything just fine
