I retargeted some animations from UE4 Mannequin to G8 and the feet are floating and move a bit more than they should be. It almost looks like the IK stuff isn't keeping them to the floor. Same thing happens if I retarget from UE4 to UE5 mannequin and then to G8 too.
Any idea what's causing this or how to fix it?
Edit: The feet also slide whenever the hips shake, like when dancing. They don't do any of this on the UE4 or UE5 mannequins.

I tied countless mixes of export options together with merged or unmerged geografts, each combination causing different problems or artifacts. But what was constant that when using merge, the exported model would have duplicate renamed bones in its hierarchy. Try it even with those unfortunate separated eyelashes, but imagine what happens when trying to export i.e. Genesis 2 with 3feetwolf female genitals or Geneis 8 with Golden Palace v2!

I'm using the Daz-->Unity plugin with the built in render pipeline.
Is it possible to add a toggle in the options so that the bridge creates and populates a Unity Standard Shader Material instead of the Daz3d/Iray materials?
I had a look at the code and tried to do it myself but failed. I also tried manually switching the material type on the generated material but they lose all the texture references on doing so.

How can I compile it on macOS?
When trying to export a model (tested with different models and props), it fails when it tries to create the fbx file.
daz showed this:

i built the newest version in debug mode and attached vs;
i stepped through: DZRuntimePluginAction.cpp
and it threw me out in line 344
Exporter->writeFile(CharacterFBX, &ExportOptions);
with this info:
exection at 0x00007FF8DF0B916D (dzfbxexporter.dll) access violation while reading at 0x0000000000000120.
The debug-enivornment keeps me from getting more information (i think because of missing symbol packages).
i don't know if this is a known issue, but this error keeps happening to me regardless of which dll i use (i tried different build versions ( release/debug ) and the same error happens with the built version from github).
i tried different models, started DAZ with admin rights and changed the temp folder, nothing helped.
Can't work in unreal 4.26.1, can you help me fix this?
The instructions say to add iRayUberSkinDiffusionProfile to the diffusion profile list. However, there is no such list anymore.
Not sure if this is considered an issue since the daztounreal is currently importing correctly... My issue is that after being in Daz there is no IK rig for daz skeleton so I cannot use the animations and blueprints from the oficial UE5 templates (new manequins from Unreal only have IK rigs... )
I seem to be having issues with the eye materials. No issues with the same Daz figure in UE4.
Looking through the materials, there seems to be a difference with the BaseAlphaMaterial in the UE5 version:
Tested with otherwise empty games project, raytracing on and off - same problem either way.

If I import any figure, let's say G8F dev load, and then send it to UE5, it looks ok. But if I apply any animation from DAZ, even the one that always comes with import and doesn't do any movements, even with this animation, the whole model become stretched, especially the head.
The same happens with G3F and with any other figure.
Some prop morphs are available in the morph selection dialog, but do not export properly to Unreal Engine 4. This was found using a geograft that parents itself under the character. The geograft prop itself exports properly, only morphs are unavailable.
The morph-selection-tool in the export section could need a feature, where only morps which are currently used are selected. It could save a lot of manual selection time.
I am using the official bridge from daz when i try compile my project i have this error:

please how to install this for 4.26 or 5 without any bug and problems? works smoothly with 4.25 and the official bridge from daz.

i just want inform that Victoria 8.1 HD Geographt materials like for Genitalia are not transferred properly with the plugin, in UNREAL the texture is totally different than the body texture mostly grey.

I have followed the install instructions thoroughly (twice) and the plugin still doesn't appear in my UE 4.27. Nor does it actually appear in my plugins folder. Is there an update I don't know about or are the installation instructions just old?
I use the actual DAZ Studio 4.20 and Unreal 5.0.1 and when I tried to activate the UE5 bridge I downloaded from here (Rel. v. 28.5.2021) in a project . When UE5 restarts the project because of activating the bridge it crashes starting the project with the info that the bridge is an older version and need a recompile with my IDE because it can not be done while running ?!?
It says 'rebuild from source' (I have never ben able to figure that out in 5 years...) , 99% of the time things just work and I do not need to rebuild thing really,. so I have not gotten much into that,,.. What can I do? I do not not want t switch to 4.27,...

I installed the beta build of the plugin into UE5 and manged to import a model with the viking handmaiden clothing set but I am getting a lot of error about missing bones saying I have to re-save the skeleton. I have 'saved all' but the issue keeps coming up and I cannot open the content browser as the error closes the content browser when the alert pops up (this is a failing in UE5 using temporarily open windows not the plugin) but is there a way of sorting the skeletons? do I have to open each clothing item and re-align the mesh to the UE skeleton?

I have 0.0000% knowledge about Daz Central, Daz Studio, Unreal Engine, and anything game development related. And here I was yesterday trying to figure out how to make DazToUnreal work in UE 4.27.2. I found a two year old thread that said that the Daz Central version of DazyToUnreal doesn't work with 4.26 (maybe even 4.25) and newer versions and some Daz 3D employee tried to help people by giving instructions on how to manually add the plugin, although those instructions no longer work because for me no such zip file existed and it had a different extension .dsx instead and was in a different location. Someone on the last page of that thread referred people to your davidvodhandel.com/daz-to-unreal-manually-updating website and I was able to get it working less than a minute later. Thank you so much!!!
