Star maker doesn't update degree as it's going
for instance, 0 is the highest degree thus the center of the first star.
Creating this star reduces the apparent degree of node 6 to 2, meaning than 7 should be the next center:
but if take into account only original degree, then 6 is the next center (and 8 is a mere singleton), which is not what we want:
