hainstaller's Issues

Garry's Mod doesn't detect

creating a pull request for it now real quick. It's down to the folder name being incorrect in the main script

Installer says my steam directory is not valid because it's missing 1 file (uninstall.exe)

The installer tells me that 1 file is missing, after running this in verbose mode I was told that the missing file is uninstall.exe
I just created a new 0 byte file called uninstall.exe and the installer worked fine, I don't know why I don't have an uninstaller in my steam install but I don't think I removed it manually.

Cant Compile for Portal 2

When ever I download with the auto downloader, for Portal 2 it will not compile right and will just show the log, but will not have the game run, and not compile light in any of the options for compiling. I would really love to use these addons included but I find my self havening to uninstall the addon over and over. I will let it be known that I have Bee2 mod for Portal 2 as well, so IDK id it has any thing to do with conflicting files or anything. Or maybe have some files missing from the auto download. When I uninstall I cant seam to find the postcompiler file to uninstall, so might have to so with something like that?

Source games later than Left 4 Dead 2 dont install.

Seems to be an issue with CmdSeq.wc missing or being replaced in later source versions.

How can you uninstall the addons without fully reinstalling hammer? I have had to do this many times, and there must be a better way how to do it. ( for Portal 2 )

HAInstaller doesn't extract needed files for postcompile to work

binaries / instances / transforms / postcompile are missing in bin folder of the game I'm trying to install HA to (TF2)

However hammer folder is dropped correctly. Tried running installer with admin privileges but nothing had changed.

Program gets stuck on 83% while downloading hammer addons.

The Hammer Addons Extension freezes whenever it is at 83%, i think it happens every time when I download it for portal 2, I haven't tested this for other games yet.

Add -game $gamedir to the command line

when i tried to compile my map and i got error :
ValueError: No game folder specified! Add -game $gamedir to the command line, or set it in "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\srctools.vdf".

`postcompiler` isn't installed

Absolutely nothing related to it appeared in my CS: GO installation. Looking through the source code it appears it looks for it in wrong place.
