hainstaller's Introduction

I'm David, and I LOVE everything related to technology, and especially how it works. I find old tech fascinating and programming is likely my favorite hobby.

Great, but now look at these images, don't they look cool on a GitHub profile? People seem to like them.

Some other stuff about me

  • Yes, I am weird.
  • I love reading and writing clean code!

Almost forgot, I am available on these sites:

Garry's Mod doesn't detect

creating a pull request for it now real quick. It's down to the folder name being incorrect in the main script

Cant Compile for Portal 2

When ever I download with the auto downloader, for Portal 2 it will not compile right and will just show the log, but will not have the game run, and not compile light in any of the options for compiling. I would really love to use these addons included but I find my self havening to uninstall the addon over and over. I will let it be known that I have Bee2 mod for Portal 2 as well, so IDK id it has any thing to do with conflicting files or anything. Or maybe have some files missing from the auto download. When I uninstall I cant seam to find the postcompiler file to uninstall, so might have to so with something like that?

Uninstall

How can you uninstall the addons without fully reinstalling hammer? I have had to do this many times, and there must be a better way how to do it. ( for Portal 2 )

Add -game $gamedir to the command line

when i tried to compile my map and i got error :
ValueError: No game folder specified! Add -game $gamedir to the command line, or set it in "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\srctools.vdf".

`postcompiler` isn't installed

Absolutely nothing related to it appeared in my CS: GO installation. Looking through the source code it appears it looks for it in wrong place.
