IPFS Public API and Gateway Deprecation

Looks like Infura just removed public API access:

Do you have recommended code adjustment? I'm trying to add in the custom gateway and authorization but haven't been successful yet as I'm getting a "Response to preflight request doesn't pass access control check: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. If an opaque response serves your needs, set the request's mode to 'no-cors' to fetch the resource with CORS disabled." error among others.

Connect Metamask

If the site is already connected to Metamask, and then I visit the site again, I am still asked to connect to Metamask (even though I already am). When I select "connect" again, I get caught in a loop, reloading the connect page again and again.
