Hey, thanks for being the last person who seems to have the Flinger source on the net. I am trying to get it working multi-platform (https://github.com/alesaccoia/festival_flinger). Will ping you when it's done, if it works.

At the moment I have recreated the Makefiles and things seem to work, but when I try to call
festival> (Flinger.sing "src/modules/Flinger/Examples/shoobee.mid")
(or any other of the examples in that directory) I get a segfault. Same if I craft a MIDI file with a DAW. I recompiled with debug symbols, and now I am trying to solve the issue. It seems related to the binary trees representation of the midi file.. so since it's a bit involved, before losing another day on it, I asked you directly if it has ever worked, and if you have a test midi file that is known to work.
If you also had problems, I could think of removing all that mess or the MIDI file parsing code and substitute it with something a bit more standard. thank you!
