Flat Remix is a GTK application theme inspired by material design. It is mostly flat using a colorful palette with some shadows, highlights, and gradients for some depth.
when i install this theme on xfce desktop ,, i can choose it from appearance but still i need to choose it from windows manager to theme window (like minimize ,maximize ) with flat remix
but i don't find it in windows manager theme to choose it
The current light themes present a completely white interface.
It would be really nice if there could be some intermediate color, such as the light gray shown in the new Windows "Light" theme.
A little bit corrections for the beste GTK theme...
In user folder, the breadcrumb section assumes an search field, and placeholder text are dark and not aligned verticaly. See:
Could you please provide a Flatpak package for the theme, so that Flatpak applications show the correct theme instead of the default GTK theme (Adwaita for Gnome).
left native application with theme, right Flatpak application that fails to see the theme.

I tested Flat Remix theme suite (gtk & icon themes) under Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon but the GTK theme is not properly listed in the GUI interface - because Linux Mint requires the good old metacity sub-folder as well.
This causes issues for Desktop Environments that use the index.theme as a reference in their theme picker GUI's e.g MATE Desktop.
In this example with Flat-Remix-GTK-Red-Dark-Solid only installed in MATE, MATE's Appearance settings module displays this. Individual theme elements can still be selected via the Customise option.
First of all, I love the new dark theme. I see that you just updated the GTK2 theme which made the QT4/5 apps that can use a GTK theme look great again.
In someapps, the menubar is still using the old color. Screenshot:
In qBittorrent, which is QT5, the theme is obtained from GTK2 theme, so maybe there is a bug in that version.
Is that fixable or maybe a problem about how QT reads the GTK2 theme?
Hi there, I am running on Manjaro LXQt with Openbox as Windows Manager & GTK2/3 installed. There is just one small hiccup here, would you know how can I switch the Windows Theme to Flat Remix? After I installed Flat Remix it only appeared in Appearance but not for Openbox. Please enlighten me!
Looks like buttons group it's not consistent among the buttons in the group, I don't know which style supposed to be becouse there are two different styles:
This happens in eog 3.32.2 but I am pretty sure I saw that in other apps too.
I love your work, the Flat-Remix Dark theme was absolutely fantastic and very professional.I updated to the last version and I'm not a huge fan of it. The white border feels really out of place and the very rounded borders on the buttons don't work well with the rest of the theme.
I know this is free and I shouldn't complain, but still I think it's worth leaving my feedback. Hopefully you'll update it again in the future!
The theme is not yet compatible with the new Nautilus Pathbar design.
Example:
Issue:
When the window is stretched (e.g. maximized) the new Nautilus renders a box around it, the colour does not fit with this theme (for the dark version it is barely noticeable). Also the blue colour pill around the last part of the path does not fit the new pathbar anymore.
Suggestions:
I would suggest to wrap the whole path in a blue pill, this can than also be used as the backdrop when maximized. Example:
The theme does appear under the Appearances setting (for controls etc) but it doesn't appear under Window Manager themes in XFCE (for the title bar etc).
-install your theme
-choose your theme (light version)
-open mate-tweak and set the Bar settings to Cuperino
-go to the top-bar menu and highlight some menu items
now you see that there is white text on white background and that it is only visible while hovering it.
Please provide a metacity-theme-3.xml compliant file in addition to 'metacity-theme-2.xml'. Cinnamon desktop from version 3.8.x on requires 'metacity-theme-3.xml'
On a brief test it appears the existing version 2 file is pretty much version 3 compliant so simply adding a copy of the version 2 file named as version 3 would initially suffice albeit #35 needs fixing as-well.
I see the main image, showing me what light, darker, dark, and darkest look like, and I know I want the blue version. So what now? I need to somehow find the difference between:
How am I supposed to tell which one I like without downloading and trying each of them?
I suggest when going inside of the theme, you see a preview.png file to check what that specific variant looks like.
Calibre uses gnome application theme (gtk) colors for coloring its window.
Except when using flat-remix-gtk themes the calibre windows stays uncolored (white).
Would it be possible to get calibre supported?
The metacity-theme-2.xml is most (all?) variants references non-existent image assets min.svg and min-hover.svg. The actual assets file names are minimize.svg and minimize-hover.svg
This prevents window-managers from successfully loading the metacity theme.
Currently using the Dark-Yellow-Solid theme, however Every yellow theme has that problem. For the most part the text inside yellow elements is black, however there are some places where the text inside yellow elements remains white, which makes it hard to read. For example - inside the software center update section:
Reproduce:
In a light version theme, like Flat-Remix-GTK, use default browser in Ubuntu 18.04, Firefox, open www.bing.com and the text in the input field is dark color, that is normal.
But in a dark version theme, like Flat-Remix-GTK-Dark, use same browser as above, open www.bing.com and the text in the input field is light color, coincided with the background white color, hence user cannot see the text.
Hello there.
I've checked both, the latest Github master and OpenDesktop.org version (1.7) - both have same problem. Even when there is space the drop down list is not getting enlarged. Also, same thing happens if I make terminal full screen.
Screenshots of terminal check here :
