Providing builds for ARMv7

Thanks for providing these repos. Will you also be providing Armv7 packages as well? I can build the cairo-infinality-ultimate packages for you based on your src RPMs via cron and provide a URL if you don't have an ARM machine (I'd be using a Raspberry pi 2 or 3) if that helps. It looks like all the other packages should work fine since they are noarch.

DNS for rpm repository not working

It looks like the public facing URL of the repository has its DNS records missconfigured - the A (or AAAA) record is missing, so it is not possible to install any package using this repository:

R cairo eps plot do not work

I'm not totally sure but I think that the packages from your repository broke the ability to plot .eps files with R.
The commands to do this with R is

cairo_ps("filename.eps")
plot(whatever)
dev.off()

This does not work and gives the following error (in German, sorry, but I think the important part is still understandable):

Broken Dependencies for cairo-gobject 1.14.6-2.fc24

I'm getting the follow error with dnf updates on Fedora24 now:

Issues with vertical alignment of Liberation Sans

I tried several things (e.g., installing the debug-info from your repo first, etc.) but I couldn't manage to get it installed.

Upgrading to Fedora 24

Note: I don't think this is a bug with the infinality-ultimate-fedora project, it's more like an upgrade issue but I'm documenting here the steps that I had to make for the upgrade to work.

The upgrade to Fedora 24 after installing the infinality packages is broken. The /var/log/dnf.log shows the following error:

I resolved this problem replacing the infinality-ultimate packages with the standard ones:

$ sudo dnf install --allowerasing cairo freetype

If you see that the infinality-ultimate packages are used (they shouldn't) then disable the repo with the following command:

sudo dnf config-manager --set-disabled infinality-ultimate

In my specific case, I wasn't able to replace fontconfig package due to the error above, so I had to manually remove it and re-install it:

$ sudo rpm --nodeps -e fontconfig-infinality-ultimate

(You might get a message from RPM saying there are two packages installed, one for i686 and one for x86_64, remove them both). Download the fontconfig-2.11.94 RPM and use rpm -Uhv to install it. The upgrade progress should work after that.

For completeness' sake, I also had to download the RPMFusion RPMs for Fedora 24 before attempting the upgrade otherwise some dependencies could not be resolved.

Fedora 26

Despite the RPM repositories are not working anymore for Fedora 25 already, I have upgraded my system to Fedora 26 and ran into the following issue(s):

A blend of the suggestions from these sources made me successfully replace the infinality packages by first trying to boot into single user mode, which failed, but managed to get into multi-user.target. As sudo, I ran:

dnf remove infinality-ultimate-repo
dnf install --allowerasing freetype-freeworld
dnf install --allowerasing cairo.i686
dnf install --allowerasing fontconfig-devel.i686
dnf install --allowerasing freetype-freeworld.i686
dnf install --allowerasing java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless.x86_64

and were checking constantly with rpm -qa | grep infinality about remnants to be removed, resolving the dependency tree manually from the bottom. rpm -e <PACKAGE> helped me to find those ancestors.

The system now does have a working graphical user interface again.

missing source files for fontconfig-infinality-ultimate

Two .tar.bz2 files seem to be missing from the fontconfig-infinality-ultimate directory. My best guess is that a .gitignore rule for the .bz2 source files got the best of them

gtk2.686 requires libcairo

Hi, I think this it is a similar issue to #1. When I want to install steam or skype they need gtk2.i686. Installing that fails with:

"dnf builddep wine" results in removal of various infinality packages

Many thanks for your infinality package. I just wonder if I can use it for my Fedora 21 (because of some reasons, I cannot upgrade my system to a newer version of Fedora).

I have modified the field BASE in Makefile from fedora-23 to fedora-21, then make; but there is an error (I think it does not comme from this modification) in downloading the font Merriweather-HeavyItalic.ttf:

[Question] Why doesn't use /etc/X11/Xresources directly?

I have installed your repository in Fedora 23 and I have installed the packages mentioned in your blogpost.
It installs a bash script in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/ but would not it be better to use the file /etc/X11/Xresources?
I have added those lines at end of this file:

paratype font conflict with preset setting

there is a paratype font which provide "PT Sans" typeface, and by choosing any preset font configuration by fc-preset command, this font always became default sans font for system:

$ fc-match sans
PTS55F.ttf: "PT Sans" "Regular"
