Muzei art source extension for Pixiv.

This extension for Roman Nurik's Muzei Live Wallpaper app uses some unofficial APIs from Pixiv to fetch random artworks.

Written by Hong Minhee, and distributed under GPLv3 or any later version.

This is not a standalone app. It requires Muzei app to be installed.

Fails to update wallpaper

It's that time time of the year again.

Seems Pixiv caused this again.

Move to Muzei API 2.0

The original API is being deprecated so moving to the new one soon would be nice.

Not working with Oreo

Recently updated to Oreo and it seems to Error out when getting new images.
In the Sources tab of muzei it shows the frowny Puzzle.

Ethics of my own fork

I've been working on my own version of Pixiv for Muzei 3.0 (currently in a usable state, https://github.com/yellowbluesky/PixivforMuzei3)

While it is very much a rewrite, it is still significantly inspired this repo

Would you consider it acceptable/ethical for me to publish my work under my own repo?

I understand that I am within my rights to do what I want (GPL license), but I wanted to hear the developers opinion

Not loading even while on a good internet connection.

I tried Muzei LiveWP for the first time. It's working with Mysplash and other clients. But it's not working with Pixiv. It's just showing me the option to 'retry'. I'm having a fast internet connection and am using a Moto G5s + on 7.1.1 with stock ROM.

Seems that pixiv really hates 3rd party clients

Show only works by following artists

Top ranking works usually cannot satisfy everyone’s own preference. Showing only works by artists followed by me could be a good alternate. It requires #3 to be implemented first.

High resolution original images

Pixiv forces to send a proper Referer header which contains a substring of pixiv.com or pixiv.net. It currently refers the image url of relatively lower resolution, which be possible to fetch without sending the header.

It could be fixed if muzei/muzei#41 is implemented.

Show only bookmarked works

It should be possible to show only works bookmarked by me. It requires #3 to be done first.

We need an option to download only on wifi

Login notice via email

Upon every wallpaper change, I get a new login notification from the website.
Please implement sessions or the relevant API feature to not do a "new" login each time

Stopped working, again

I haven't received any updates on wallpaper for months now

Can it exclude manga?

I think manga is not a good wallpaper.

Period settings

It currently is hard-coded to refresh every hour. It should be changed by user.

Stopped updating

The app stopped updating wallpaper recently. Probably due to changes on the Pixiv side, though I cannot say for sure.

Also at this situation, when this app fails to retrieve the wallpaper it actively drains battery. Pixiv for Muzei actually showed up in battery stats with 7% drain. There is massive amount of PixivArtSource wakelocks.

Authentication

It has to be possible to optionally authenticate if user wants in order to provide more advanced filters e.g. #4.

Clicking on Title does not take you to website.

I have recently updated my OS to Android 10. Until then, clicking on the image title would link to the pixiv site of that image.
Now, nothing happens at all (text box still blinks as a button when touched).
