CommUnity

Reduce food waste and increase food security amongst students

37% of students at UBC Vancouver report low to very low food security. Globally, approximately one third of the food produced for human consumption gets lost or wasted each year. COMMUNITY aims to reduce food waste and increase food security amongst students by sharing food which might otherwise go to waste

Technology Stack

Community consists of an Android frontend (Java), Node.js backend, and MySql database. Community will be hosted through AWS.
