I can't duplicate what you are describing, well I can, but the lens does appear after moving the mouse, so the proposed code change doesn't appear to do anything, at least in Chrome.

And I actually don't remember why the base.hovered flag is in there - it might have had something to do with IE... so I'm not sure what problems could surface from commenting that out.

Could you set up a demo of this issue? Or share steps on how to duplicate it.

I have the same issue I think and you're right Mottie, the issue goes away when you move the mouse. I found it happens on FF on Windows and Chrome/FF on MacOS.

Check out http://jsfiddle.net/NgUkR/2/ for a basic example. Run the example using FF and click on the image to enable and disable AnythingZoomer. If you change the location you click on the image to zoom in each time, you should see the issue.

I hope that helps.

Hmm, ok I see the issue in Firefox now. It looks like it might have something to do with the triggering of an event without including the correct mouse position. I'll look into it. Thanks!

Sorry for taking so long to fix this issue... I totally forgot about it 😱

You can see it work properly in Firefox in this demo.
