Hmm, that is very odd!

When I comment out, or just add display:none to 2 images (so only 10 images are visible) in the large image block, the zoom window moves without any problems (demo); but add an 11th or 12th image and the delay becomes significant.

I think this might be an issue with webkit since it is only occuring in Chrome & Safari (which I couldn't test since I don't own a mac).

I reported this issue, and hopefully it will be reviewed soon and hopefully solved.

In the mean time, I think adding a check box to show/hide the images groups might be a better idea. Or combine all the images into one.

Actually that's the main functionality of that demo, I just don't include the buttons for showing / hiding the images.

And two years later, this seems to have been resolved... whew

This demo of 12 stacked images doesn't appear to have a delay any more.
