asus-t101ha's Issues

Enable webcam

Just making an issue in case any progress gets made on this! Doubt I'll be able to work on it myself.

Enable headphone jack

Just making an issue in case any progress gets made on this! Doubt I'll be able to work on it myself.

Volume Buttons Keyboard/ Side Buttons

Installed Ubuntu 18.04.3 Desktop x64 bit.

Everything works out of the box except for Volume Controls on the tablet and the keyboard hot keys. Going into Sound Settings, I cannot see my sound devices. However, there is sound when playing YouTube on Chrome. Volume can be controlled on the video.

Was able to resolve the issue of the volume control by installing KMix from the software centre. Volume for all apps can be controlled with the KMix volume slider. Sound devices, including headphones (sound working and turns off speakers when plugged in!) are now shown in sound settings. However, keyboard volume control and tablet volume controls still do not work. Have to manually adjust volume slider in KMix.

Hopefully a solution can be found. New to Linux but reading and trying to understand.

Changes on my system

First of all: super cool work!
I used it on my manjaro installation and it works after a few adjustments:

  • I had to change ENV{PRODUCT} to 'b05/183d/7' in 80-dock.rules
  • I had to install go and openbsd-netcat
  • The name of my display is 'DSI1' without the dash. I had to change that in t101srv.go
  • Manjaro is using initcpio instead of initramfs. I had to add the modules in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf with the line 'Modules="pwm-lpss pwm-lpss-platform"'. After that rebuild the image with 'sudo mkinitcpio -p linux419' Actually backlight seemed to work before I did that, but I changed it nevertheless.
  • Since it is set to rotate on boot, the touchscreen doesnt work correctly. t101srv is in my autostart and I added an else-case to the go-script: 'if !docket { state=UNLOCK; update() } else { state0=UNLOCK; update() }'. Just with newlines instead of the semicolons. This will make the xinput-command called after boot.

Really good work, bro!
