Am I doing something wrong?
Long press on the text of a post doesn't bring up the "mark, copy, ..."-buttons.

1. tap on a post with multiple images to view one image
2. Swipe in the image viewer
3. The share button and the three dots for the context menu are only visible on the first views image

The unsubscribe icon looks like an icon for create a new post or something, maybe something different would be better here.
At least I mistook it a few times as I wanted to create a post and suddenly unsubscribed instead.

When typing a long post in iOS 17 on iPhone 15 plus, text begins to get hidden behind the keyboard.

Post should scroll up to show currently typing text.

In the newest release I can't see comments below my posts.

The same post using the web app shows the comments, I also got notifications telling me about a new comment.

Creating a new post, with a URL to video source, won't show the URL content in any way.

The same happens if I click on the post via my profile page, in the profile feed the post ist visible but after taping on it the content disappeared.

I would expect the content of the URL to be visible, or even better show the video.

Further more it seems to be buggy from time to time in the Community feed.

I guess something regarding the video loader is wrong here, because sometimes the videos do appear:

After some time the video becomes visible. Maybe an indicator would be handy, or showing the first frame of the video, with an activity indicator. Something where I can tap on and the video playback screen will be shown.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open login screen
2. Enter your instance in the style of "my-instance.com"
3. Enter login details
4. Login fails
5. Change instance entry to style of "https://my-instance.com"
6. Login successfully

Desired behaviour:

1. Open login screen
2. Enter your instance in the style of "my-instance.com"
3. Enter login details
4. Login successfully

Supporting video playback of PeerTube videos would be a great addition.

Piped links from unknown piped instances are not loaded.

For example in this post the link https://piped.adminforge.de/watch?v=-sUGsH2Y2xY is not recognized as a piped video because it’s not from a recognized piped instance.

Expected Behavior

Piped links should be loaded either using regex, or by allowing the user to add additional instances to the supported list.

Minimal reproducible example

In the Settings -> Content menu, I set the Default Post Sort to TopTwelveHour. When I close the app and reopen it, the setting reverts to Hot.

Issue appears to affect both iPhone and iPad.

Expected Behavior

I suppose I'd generally expect this setting to stay at TopTwelveHour (or whatever else I picked for the Default Post Sort). Best-case scenario it would also persist at the chosen setting when the app updates.

To reproduce:

1. Run Arctic in iPad mode. This shows the sidebar, with the button to toggle it top left
2. Hit the button to hide the sidebar.
3. Rotate iPad from portrait to landscape, or vice versa. The sidebar is back.

The sidebar should stay hidden until manually toggled again via the top left button.

A visual feedback after a vote on the left side would be nice. With a green and a red Color for example.

I sometimes miss the coloured button on the right, also the blue and Lila is a bit misleading imo.

3. Error toast message appears and the post button disappears and an activity indicator keeps spinning at this position

Expected Behavior

After an error the post button should appear again.

Not totally sure if I'm explaining this correctly, but it seems that when a post uses a dropdown to create a table/list the formatting gets a bit wonky.

For context, I'll include some screenshots of the bug on Arctic, and then how the dropdowns are appearing on Voyager. A good example of a post using this formatting is the Lemmy Apps megathread here.

I would really enjoy doing this. 😁

Submitting a post has become unintuitive and time consuming. I would expect that the current community is preselected.

Also searching for a community is time-consuming. Maybe it is a good idea to show subscribed communities first, and sort the results by relevance (subscriber count...?).

I currently can't submit a screen recording of it but it takes ages to find [email protected].
