About

Writer Studios a word processor with note taking and goal setting abilities. It is focused for authors to write fiction and non-fiction alike. Notes can be put into to the file anywhere yet allow easy to navigate to them. The goal settings can be adjust as the document written.

Even though the markup language is made for this program, is very forgiving and will highlight the syntax. In the future, there will be more support and will have a WYSIWYG mode. This make learning the language as just a faster way to format and insert notes and agendas.

This project is currently in alpha version, and will be optimized and will have more features. The most up-to-date stable version is located here.

Currently, Writer Studio can produce a pdf file that meet the manuscript format requirements (accroding to here) as seen with this pdf file example.

Large Document Slow to Update

If the document get a little large, the program will slow down or even freezes.

The solution is to create code to parse part of the document to reduce the need to parse the entire text.

Export To PDF

The program must be export or print so that markup language will make the text into something useful. Currently, the plan for now is to export to a PDF file.

EditAssert does not assert multiple SpanBranch properly

Checking listener for Edit Assert does not check for listeners correctly if multiple Span Branch are edited

Add a website

Will be using git pages to create a page to introduce and download the demo.

Lacking Coding Documentations and Standards

Write comments for all files in the project.
