ender-3v2's Introduction

Ender-3 V2 Firmware

Creality attaches great importance to users. As 3D printing industry evangelist, Creality, dedicating to bringing benefits to human beings via technology innovations, has received support from both users and 3D printing enthusiasts. With gratefulness, Creality wants to continue the pace of making the world a better place with you all. This time, Creality will open the source code and we believe GitHub is the way to go.

This is the repository that contains the source code and the development versions of the firmware running on the Creality Ender-3 V2, Ender-3 S1, CR-30/3DPrintMill, Ender-2 Pro, Sermoon D1 and more products in the future. It's based on the well-known Marlin but with modifications.

The firmware for the Creality Ender-3 V2is proudly based on Marlin2.0 byScott Lahteine (@thinkyhead), Roxanne Neufeld (@Roxy-3D), Chris Pepper (@p3p), Bob Kuhn (@Bob-the-Kuhn), João Brazio (@jbrazio), Erik van der Zalm (@ErikZalm) and is distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL 3 license.

If you want to download the latest firmware version, go to Releases page and download the needed files. In the releases page you will find the source code and the SD Files needed for the LCD Display. After that, normally you need to update the SD files of the display and gradually complete the updates of menus, graphics and functionalities.

Please refer to: YouTube In order to get instructions on how to upgrade the firmware and load new LCD SD files to the display.

New Features

  1. Fix the problem of losing long file names in resume printing.
  2. Fix the problem of time reset with automatic return to zero.
  3. Fix some UI display defects.
  4. Add auto zero return function and UI display after power up.
  5. Add auto screen resting function.
  6. Add card pulling detection function.

Issues and Suggestions

Your feedback is very important to us, as it helps us improve even faster. Feel free to feedback us if there is an issue. In order to get responses in an efficient way, we recommend you to follow some guidelines:

  1. First of all, search for related issues.
  2. Detail the firmware version you're running.
  3. Explain to us the error or bug, so that we can test it properly.
  4. In the title, indicate the label of the issue. (For example: #issue)

Development Process

The code is currently in development, trying to improve functionalities. Since it’s possible for the advanced users to contribute in firmware development, we suppose you know the points even if they have not been clearly illustrated by Creality.

The master branch is stable and it's currently of the version 2.0.x. The master branch stores code created by Creality. Once a release is done, the users, get to upgrade the version and give feedback to us. We get to know the bugs as well as optimization based on the feedback from you and Creality will make a decision on what to be included into the master branch.

By integrating suggested improvements, we will make a branch from the version.

This is a classic code development process and we want more, so we really want you to participate from the very beginning.

ender 3 v2 neo repo when?

This last got asked on Aug 13, 2022 and we need an update, it's pretty insane the lack of support you give us ender 3 v2 neo users, nobody will want to buy your product if you dont make this information public

Need bootloader binary for 4.2.2 with GD32F303RET6

Hi:

I have an Ender 3V2 with a GD32F303RET6 chip on a 4.2.2 board. I believe the flash memory on the chip was corrupted by a static discharge and it will not boot or flash firmware from SD card now (display stays black after power on).

I can still communicate and program the chip using the 4 pin debug port and an ST-Link device.

Can anyone from Creality please send me the bootloader binary file for this chip so I can repair my board? I have already contacted customer service and they sent me here.

Where can I find Ender 3 CAD files?

Hello!
I'm a bit new here and every bit of help is very welcome indeed.
I was told that Github has a complete set of CAD files for Creality Ender 3, but I can't find them. Could someone please provide a link?
I have to install some additional hardware on the z-axis sliders and it has to be a tight fit. I could reverse-engineer the sliders myself, but it would be easier to just use their existing CADs as "negatives" for what I want.
Many thanks in advance
V

Support the V2 Neo

It would be great if this repo could also add support for the V2 Neo or if a separate repo could be opened for the V2 Neo

At the very least if the correct Marlin configs were provided that would be great and we could build the rest ourselves based on the upstream Marlin repo

#issue ender 3v2 sprite extruder

The newest Software for the ender 3v2 that supports BLTouch and the Sprite Pro extruder doesn't print in the center. The current offset when printing is x >10mm and y > 5mm. Will there be an updated version that corrects this offset? Larger prints that used to work with the stock extruder aren't possible anymore

DACAI screen firmware source code

Could you please publish the source code for the newer DACAI type screen and the API, so that it can be enabled for gcode preview?

It works on Ender3v2 with older DWIN screens.

Ender v2 Neo Support?

Hi,

I am still waiting to share the source code of Ender 3 v2 neo. Please tell me when do you plan to share the source code of Ender 3 V2 Neo?

Thanks.
