I need help

Hey bro, I recently stumbled upon your github repository, about overwriting the mbr with password. Are you the creator? I really congratulate you for your great work! I am a novice cybersecurity student and I have tried to use your repository to test the mbr but I think I must be doing some step wrong in getting the shellcode via nasm to convert it to bin and subsequently getting the shellcode with donut, but I always test it in virtual machine with windows 10 and it never overwrites me the mbr with such message, it just breaks it and it's like re-installing windows again. Could you help me please?

Thanks for making this repo, not only because it's both interesting but a question, could you provide some resources you used while creating it? You do state it's based on Petya (..) but no reference to really how? Would just be interesting, no pressure! :)
