Currently the path to the CMIP5 data pool is hard-coded in the climaf module. One can make it configurable, check the issue below:
... and the current directory might be read-only. Need to patch climaf to configure log file path.
cdo is currently broken in the conda environment. It is currently hard to find a working cdo/ncl combination in a single conda environemnt.
