Vagrant plugin for Darwin (OS X) guest support

vagrant-darwin

This is a Vagrant plugin that adds Darwin (OS X) guest support. This requires the commercial Vagrant VMware Fusion provider plugin -- VirtualBox does not support OS X guests.

Installation

To install this plugin, first build the gem package from within this directory:

$ gem build vagrant-darwin.gemspec

This should create a gem file that includes the version in the file name. Next, have Vagrant install this gem by running:

$ vagrant plugin install `ls -1 -r *.gem | head -n 1`

The ls invocation makes it so the latest version is installed if multiple gems exist.

Usage

For a seamless experience, use the following in your Vagrantfile:

    ENV['VAGRANT_DEFAULT_PROVIDER'] = 'vmware_fusion'

    # Require the `vagrant-darwin` plugin.
    Vagrant.require_plugin 'vagrant-darwin'

    Vagrant.configure('2') do |config|
    ...

vagrant-darwin's Issues

VirtualBox *does* support macOS guests

In fact, VirtualBox can run macOS guests. Could we add support to this plugin for VirtualBox?
