The 'Invalid url' error is a known issue. Auto youtube-dl updates were added in v0.3.1 to fix YouTube downloads, but the latest youtube-dl update released today breaks the library used in this app to communicate with youtube-dl. The library author has been made aware of the issue. Long term, I hope to create a custom library, or to move this code within the app, so if this happens again, I can easily fix the issue.

@CookieJarApps- I've noticed a bug/issue upon further testing and usage of the app today.

Bug-

• After downloading a file the download still shows up in the download list and I'm unable to clear it from the list after the file is complete.

• I have to completely reset the app and clear the apps storage and cache to get the downloads list to be cleared.

Suggestions/Fix-

1.) Ability to swipe away the download when finished and clear it from the screen.
(Swipe Left or Right over top of the file name to clear it from the list)

2.) Long press on the download file and give options to either “Remove item from list or “Delete file from device”

Question-

1.) Will the download button that's integrated in the navbar make the 13.0 beta release later this week or weekend?

• Thanks again for the creation of this new app. So far it has worked well with grabbing files from the links I have shared. However I'm really looking forward too and can't wait to try it out once it's integrated within the browser itself.

@CookieJarApps - I have a few suggestions on possible new features that would improve the functionality of the app.

1.) Add ability to speed up file downloads by splitting the file up into different parts similar to IDM+ which allows you to split the file up into 32 parts.

• (These additional parts are created and queued and started when the other parts are finished)

2.) Create an empty file to help accelerate the download process.

3.) Show the estimated time (ETA) until the file is completed/finished.

• Implement a progress bar notification showing the progress of the downloaded video file. Ex: 20 seconds left until completion or 50% of the file parts are downloaded.

• All the features above are examples of the many different supported features that the app IDM+ does right with it's in app download manager features.

• With the release of today's update the app crashes constantly everytime you remove a file from the downloads list or from your device after you remove more than 2 files in a row.

• I will attach Screenshots below indicating the crash.

• The Apk version I downloaded was: app-arm64-v8a-release.apk

• Android version- Android 10 Q.

• Device type- Nokia 5.3.

It seems like there is currently pause/resume is not implemented while downloading videos
It would be good to have pause and resume support and also an option to cancel download

Currently when downloading no information is displayed while downloading

• I know previously you said it would be released on Sunday, (March 7th) but I see that two new versions of the Biscuit Browser where released instead.

2.) Will the new update still Include download percentages, download pausing and cancelling and simultaneous downloads?

3.) Any progress on working on splitting downloads?

I do have a few feature suggestions that could help improve the Video DL application.

• 1: Accelerate download speeds by using multi threading. (Between 16 too 32 parts)

• 2: Interception of links from android browsers and clipboard to help fill in the “Video URL field"

• 3: While downloading files in the background show a ETA (Estimated time until finished) until the file is finished in the notification bar and under the apps “Downloads section"

(Already the app shows progress from 0 to 100%)

• 4: Create an empty file to accelerate downloading.

• 5: Lastly add option to autoresume after errors and or a break in connection.

(Resuming of interrupted downloads)

Don't know why this happens. Tried running all of the apks but none of them work! youtube-dl-android download works though.

Add support for playlists and channel download

Hello @CookieJarApps I hope all is well with you. I have a few potential suggestions/additions that would help improve the usability of your Video DL application.

1.) Speed up the process of Obtaining the Video Urls in the application.

• When processing a Video URL that is copied and pasted in the apps search bar or by using the native share function within Android the app takes a long time to process requests and sometimes the app hangs and doesn't find the associated URL until you do it several times over or force close and Relaunch the application.

2.) Further accelerate download speeds by using Multi threading. Starting with 16 as the default and allow users to further choose all the way up to 32 parts.

3.) Create an empty file/pre allocate space when the file is cached/created to help accelerate downloading speeds.

4.) Show the estimated or actual file size for each video format that is fetched from the link you put in the Video URL box.

• Sometimes the file size is not displayed and just says 0 B. I will attach a screenshot showing what I mean down below.
