Not everyone need search suggestions. Most of the time I make it disabled. In SmartCookieWeb-Preview nowhere can I find it to turn search suggestions off. Would you please add option to disable search suggestions?

I have two new feature request suggestions regarding your Biscuit Browser application.
1 • I think that many users would benefit from a new feature that would see the implementation of your VideoDL application into the the Biscuit Browser and support the ability to download Video Files and Ability to capture them directly within the Browser, and download to your device storage.
(Instead of having to copy and paste the URL into the external VideoDL application everytime you want to download a new Video file)
2 • Ability to Long press on a video to trigger the Selection Action Menu. (Upon doing this action it gives you three different options to chose from)
They are in order and listed below:
1.) Copy link
2.) Share Link
3.) Save file to device
(The third and final option is the one that needs to be supported to download video files to your device storage)
• It shows a Web API in the form of a blob object string and everytime you perform this long press action the following shows up on the screen: blob:https://www.

Description: SponsorBlock lets you skip over sponsors, intros, outros, subscription reminders, and other annoying parts of YouTube videos.
1. The reload button that is in the menu navbar does not work. The stop loading button that is in the menu navbar does not work.
2. If you don't open any websites, only one tab is shown, regardless of whether you open a new one.
3. You can't change the 'Translate Web Pages' extension options. (For some reason sometimes it's possible to change any option you want in this extension, but the options have no effect anyway.)
4. The dark theme is only applied if the homepage type is selected as 'Blank page'.
5. The dark theme has many parts where it is not possible to see the elements (such as the texts in the search bar because it has the texts and background in white or the close tab button because the button and the background have the black color) (Some things still don't get it right, but in general things work well)
6. The 'Try again' button that appears when a page doesn't load doesn't work.

there are others small issues in version 5:if I add a website shortcut to homepage and then I click it from home IF THE WEBSITE IS ALREADY OPENED in browser, biscuit should simply focus it instead of opening a new tab and loading from scratch,(this is fenix default behavoiur) also if possible in personalization bring the ability to disable pull to refresh and the ability to choose what awesome is able to search (history, bookmarks, open tabs), thank you!

i tried using search by image with addons collection but it didn't work or bugged when im trying to upload a image, it just stuck and doesn't search the result
I noticed some other small issues
long pressing the tab switcher is missing close tab menu item which I used very very often in fenix.
also (totally different issue) long pressing biscuit browser on home screen does not show app shortcuts(new tab, new private tab)

First of all i would like to thank the developer for coming up with such neat and clean browser based on fenix...
With more add ons, the address bar is reducing to a point.
So i would suggest just add one addon button, on clicking it will show a panel which will show all add ons. Attaching a image for the issue

Whenever I try to open the addon manager, BiscuitBrowser crashes immediatly.
This also happens directly after a fresh install.
please if possible bring back old fennec behavior : when tapping url bar top sites were shown so I could tap them or perform a web search:

Fennec has "open links in apps" feature which is very useful sometimes. It would be great if you can add.
Edit: I haven't noticed that it's on the three button menu. Sorry for that 😅.
It would be great if we can delete all browsing data like we do in Fennec. Also the new "delete browsing data on quit" option might be great as well.
Edit: There is a workaround to clear browsing data with addon for now.
When I am enabling both settings browser is not starting up.. Kind of crashing
Firefox, About: Resets Config settings.
About: Type Safe to the Config and set all the values to the wrong and leave the numbers and numbers blank.
Everything is reset again when you arrive. May the Biscuit Browser be obstacle to it?
Is it possible to implement tab queue feature? It is present in Fennec but not in Fenix. And last time I checked present in FOSS Browser.

I tried to switch from fenix but for now I encountered many issues.
I couldn't import violent monkey back up from fenix.
also many important options from fenix mostly fixed bottom toolbar and font size in accessibility are missing.
also the white url bar with dark theme is not very nice in my opinion.
the security lock icon looks outdated..ia it possible to update it with the proton icons..
Also on clicking security lock nothing happens.. There should be menu which will show autoplay options and site security status
When using any of the night mode extensions ("Midnight Lizard", "Dard Reader", or "Dark Background and Light Text"), none of them is able to detect whether the Android system is switched to dark mode or not. Biscuit Browser detects this correctly, but somehow, this information seems not to be forwarded to the extensions properly. Thus, automatic switching to night mode does not work in any of those extensions, although mode of them offer it as a feature.
Would be great if this could be fixed.

i had been starting to use this browser since today and found it really solid on my device (after painstakingly trying several forks of firefox, i had finally found something that doesn't reduce my battery and performance into a pulp lol).
After some long usage, i would like to report a couple of bugs i had found:
^ I've tried using a workaround to this issue alone by opening and closing the bookmarks tab frequently to let the page load, but it won't let me interact at all even after loading it with that method. Only way for "fixing" that issue was by opening the site on a new tab and then things worked like a charm.
If none of the bugs i had listed weren't explained well enough, i won't hesitate lending footage for a better understanding of the bugs. I'm rooting for this project to reach f-droid someday :D
Last edit: tried version 5.1 and it fixed an issue with reddit not loading. Sadly file upload still doesn't work, and the page issue's still there. I will wait for a definitive update for fixing those issues throughout the time in the meantime.

This app deserves places like: Codeberg, Gitea, GitLab (Instances), and wherever better…
GitHub boycotts users, removes apps, and actually says "Whatever I want is going to be saved and whatever I don't need Is going to be deleted." The app has not paid attention to users' requests for RTL support for years, and says this is not a priority!
Free software should be free somewhere, which GitHub does not have!

I have noticed that some of the included search engine don't work, in particular Qwant and Naver.
Also, it'd be nice to have the possibility to add custom search engines (for example, personal SearX instances).
Finally, a question: is Enhanced Tracking Protection from Firefox available? Recent enhancements to FF, such as Total Cookie Protection are highly desirable .

This is a really good one with ublock, violentmonkey and open links in app while waiting for SmartCookieWeb becomes compatible with Adguard. There are other things I hope you can improve it:
Web dark mode right now doesn't work but I think with GeckoView, it's hard to do so. I'm using Dark Background and Light Text as an alternative since Dark Reader is quite heavy resource-eating.
A small suggestion is that I think it's better to put all the add-ons to a button for viewing when clicking on it, instead of putting them all in the toolbar, but it's not really very big deal for me at the moment.
Sorry for a long suggestion, but this project has really good potential besides SmartCookieWeb. Hope you can continue it.

Since it is completely FLOSS, have you thought about distributing it on the F-droid app store? It is an alternative for FLOSS apps to google play and the community is quite friendly.
You can open a ticket here: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp or an user can do so, provided you agree to include BiscuitBrowser in F-droid.
ps: SmartCookieWeb is also not on f-droid and if you still maintain it, it would be nice to have it there too :)
When I tried to activate HTTPS filtering in AdGuard, appears that the connection is insecure.

Support autofill by password managers like LastPass.

• 2 Upon clicking on “Save File to device" a “Download failed" notification for Biscuit Browser shows up on my screen and it willn't let me continue and download the file to my device.
• 3 This is also broken in every current build of Firefox and I have Raised an issue on GitHub and on Bugzilla to try and get this issue fixed, however Android Developers of Mozilla deemed this an issue with Geckoview and have pushed it back several times already and is now on the Whiteboard for [Geckoview:m90]

• I don't see this getting fixed anytime soon since it has been over 2 months since I raised an issue/bug report on both websites and when or if they support video file downloads they would have to restrict YouTube video downloads at First in order to prevent all of there Firefox applications from being removed from the Google Play Store since Google restricts application from downloading YouTube video files.
From time to time, the bookmark sidebar is loosing its headline as well as the "add bookmark" and "add folder" buttons.
Restarting the app solves the issue, but after some usage the bookmark sidebar is broken again.
The browser is much faster and stable than the normal Firefox browser. Please continue to improve this. But there are some issues. No option to add frequently visited pages to the main page.
The add-ons settings running on Firefox do not work here. for example
