I gave this less than a college try with chef 12 and berks and it seems the name 'bash' collides with another cookbook. Even still I got a far as bash_alias resource un-defined or some sort.

Need help with getting it to work with chef12? Is that the issue?

Same issue as #1 but with single quotes.

Trying to create the following alias with this cookbook:

default_attributes(
  {
    bash_alias: {
      users: {
        matt: {
          alert: 'terminal-notifier -title "Command finished" -message "Your command has finished running"',
        }
      }
    }
  }
)

And it does not work because it has a " inside of it.
