Service Now Alerts

Setup:

Once you have enabled the Service Now (SNOW) Alert Exentension, right click on the extension icon and go to Options. In options you will see two main catagorys of settings. The Popup Settings and the Notification settings.

Popup Settings

The Popup settings allow you to configure the dropdown popup of the Extension to your liking. Allowing you to only show what you need. For instances to display a section check the checkbox next to the section.

Create: This section is for buttons to create new Call Tickets, Incidents, Change Requests, and Service Requests

Search: This section simply hides or shows the search box in the popup.

Queues: This section is customizable to create shortcuts to each queue you may need to see. EX. (different departments)
In the Name field you will give it a name to be seen on the button. The URL field can be retrieved by copying the needed URL from your service now instance.

My List: This section is similar to the Queues section, and works the same way, but you may want to configure these to work i have completed or work i need to do...

Notification Settings

The Notification settings allow for notification popups to display when a new ticket hits a certain queue. You can also display the count of open tickets in the Extention Icon bubble.

Base URL:This field requires your Base Service Now URL. EX. "<yourinstance>.service-now.com"

Notify 1 URL:This field is for the URL for the first queue you would like notification data from. To get the URL in Service now load the queue you would like to monitor. In the frame to the right, right click and select view Frame Source. In the new window copy the url after view-source:

Notify 2 URL:This is the second Notification URL generate URL as you did for Notify 1.

Split Badge:This allows you to seperate the two Notify counts in the Extension Icon. If true the Numbers will appear "2 | 3" if False the numbers will be a total: "5"

notification failed

from some time extension didn't work. I've got "X" instead of number of tickets in queues.
I tried to uninstall and install extension again without success.

any suggestions?

Wait

Hello Team,

I've setup the extension with two queues and direct links.
The extension remains always in wait status.
If i move the mouse over the extension i get the following message:
ServiceNow Alerts, badge value Wait
Wants access to this site
the Notification Settings > Base URL: https://survitec.service-now.com/
Can you advise ?

Function Request?

Couldn't find a place to suggest code changes, so this is not an issue but thought I would mention. I have no idea how to code, but I did install this and it's fricking amazing. I was looking at some options to control the amount of time a notification appears on Chrome. I am seeing requireInteraction as one option on the Chrome Dev site, but Google search and Applescript are the limits to my coding skills. But what a great extension!

Change display time

Do we get a browser notification or batch number only
