Allows to use images as a background during Google Meet calls

Development

Ensure you have

• Node.js 10 or later installed
• Yarn v1 or v2 installed

Then run the following:

• yarn install to install dependencies.

• yarn run dev:chrome to start the development server for chrome extension

• yarn run build:chrome to build chrome extension

• Load extension in browser

• Go to the browser address bar and type chrome://extensions

• Check the Developer Mode button to enable it.

• Click on the Load Unpacked Extension… button.

• Select your extension’s extracted directory.

Why is the virtual back ground so garbage compared to zoom?

Camera Failed Error (Extension Broken?)

I'm not sure what happened, but the extension no longer seems to work. Without warning, any attempt to use it (or even have it on), renders the camera non-operational in Meet (and only Meet). It gives a "Camera Failed" error. I suspect this may be something Meet changed, as the same problem arises with any of the available programs designed to allow you to use backgrounds in your video.

Use custom image for background?

Hi there. Thank you for the extension! Is there a way to use a custom image for the background?

Details on how to build the unpackaged extension

While waiting for new version to be added to the chrome store, should be able to install the current version as an unpacked extension. Provide instructions to build.

Support firefox

It might be asking for too much, but it would be awesome if this extension could support firefox as well.

The extension is great!

Is it possible to add a license stating if personal / non-commercial use is permissible or not?
I would like to have work on a fork of this extension with few custom backgrounds, not making it available on publicly accessible chrome web store.
