Some repos are tested using OS X workers (all the repos that include Xcodeproj), the others are tested in ruby workers.

Indeed.

Actually we can't even call the file .travis.yml in the shared repo itself as it would trigger Travis for the shared repo itself which is not what we want.

So all in all, how about a travis-osx.yml and a travis-ruby.yml in shared, and a rake task in Rainforest to copy the correct one in each repo under the name .travis.yml?

Sounds good to me

(I'm starting to wonder if having two separate repos "shared" and "Rainforest" is worth it, maybe we should regroup everything in Rainforest?)

For context, I created a separated repo because Rainforest can clone all the CocoaPods repos with the rake clone_all task. Consequently some tasks assume that each directory is a git repo (e.g. rake pull). Thus having a dedicated repo seemed more convenient than just adding a folder to Rainforest.

Closing as I don't think that there is a convenient way to implement this: see CocoaPods/Rainforest#23 (comment).
