Collection of Makefiles and test scripts to facilitate testing Terraform modules, Kubernetes resources, Helm charts, and more.

Prerequisites

  1. Bats-core
  2. Bash v5+
  • If you're on Mac, you're possibly running Bash v3. You can upgrade via homebrew: brew install bash

Usage

Use the test-harness Docker image as the base image in the application Dockerfile, and copy the modules from tests folder into /tests/ folder in the Docker container.

FROM cloudposse/test-harness:0.25.0 as test-harness

# Get latest release from https://github.com/cloudposse/geodesic/releases
FROM cloudposse/geodesic:2.11.3-alpine

# Copy root modules into /conf folder
COPY --from=test-harness /tests/ /tests/

Makefile Targets

Available targets:

  build                               Build docker image
  help                                Help screen
  help/all                            Display help for all targets
  help/short                          This help short screen

terraform is stuck on 1.3.3 in test-harness

When terraform runs, it uses 1.3.3 in the test-harness affecting all cloudposse github repos's tests

Expected Behavior

Use latest which is 1.3.3

I'm unsure if this is a test-harness build issue or if this is a cloudposse/packages issue.

The debian repository doesn't seem affected since the latest terraform can be pulled from geodesic which uses debian.
